Lost In Your Eyes

You stared

And I stared back

Into the sea of blue

Dark lashes

Along the shore

I saw happiness

I saw love

And I was lost in your eyes

So lost

That I failed to see

The demon within

The innocent blue

Masked the cold

Hard treachery

Of your heart of stone

And I was lost

So I followed you

And you led me deeper

Into the pit of misery

Despair

I was lost in the blue

And before I knew it

The blue was gone

Only blood thirsty red remained

The innocence was gone

So I ran

Fled for my life

But you were faster

I was slow in coming

From the mystic blue

That held me fast

You knew you had me

You knew I was lost

And now I blame you

Because I was never found.
