Just Another Day

The golden rays woke me up
From a slumber of beautiful dreams
I opened my eyes with a frown upon my face
Thinking 'It's just another day'

Life changes and nature shows its magic
Ignoring this beauty and thinking of my duties
I time my day
Thinking 'It's just another day'.

The birds chirp, the winds rustle my hair
But all I heard are the car horns and
The drills of civic life
Thinking 'It's just another day'

Childhood memories lay upon my wall
But I, I glance at them
Just like every other day, thinking it as a duty
I had taken upon my life, what is now a race
A race to reach the never-ending end
Because I always thought
'It's just another day'.
