Time and again
I sleep with blissful dreams
Those wherein, chocolates are abundant
And me a malicious devil
“All those sweets are for me,”
I had once yelled
At the children
Bundled at the corner in fear
I devoured those delicacies
As if starved for days uncounted.
But oh! How dreadful are
The mornings, echoing with regrets
For eating all those chocolates that I get.Time and again
I sleep with a frown
As my mind jumps off
To another world,
Where I sit and wail
As the teachers pry
For the marks I have gotten.
That awful class laughing
At things, that for me are bleak
But the anger released,
All the wrath and rage
To wake up regretting
That it’s a school morning
And those assignments are not done yet.___________________
This poem was written in a very vague sense. A light-hearted theme for those who are still in school and of course for all those chocolate lovers out there. Have a happy day ahead!
