The clouds
Cascaded the once blue sky,
In a velvet grey.
The bright-sunny day,
Long forgotten,
The sun-lit room,
Now a place for quiet reflection.
The sounds of the birds and noisy life
Felt like distant chants,
As the pitter-patter
Filled everyone's being with slight content.
The rain poured,
Drops of never-ending circle.
People running on the streets,
Away from the ruins of the unassuming pearls.
Some swayed to the compassionate music
A symphony in their quiet hearts.
World was lost,
The lovers in their sweet affection,
The children in their merry dance,
The mothers in their reprimands,
The fathers in worldly affairs,
The birds in their warm nests,
The singer in the unheard music,
The dancer in a rythmic sway.
A simple day, a simple way,
To find content
In moments as these
When the rain falls and the world stops,
To hear its story.

My Thoughts in Verses
PoetryMy thoughts in verses is a bunch of poems that I have written at various stages of my life. Whether for completion or for leisure, all of it has a bit of my crude essence. *The picture on the cover does not belong to me. I do not take any credits.
