Cold Hell (1/2) (filler chapter)

A/N: I know filler has a bad reputation, but I think it's interesting to see characters in a calm environment or a not so calm one. Plus I wanna try something new. Hope you enjoy the filler!

I lay down on a tree branch reading my book of fables while Celia eyeballs a bird's nest. Everything was nice and quiet until my wolf ears start picking up heavy breathing from....Jaune and Pyrrha? I quickly close my book and decided to leave before Celia could witness Jaune being a man for once,

"Celia, let's get out of here." I ordered, "Big brother!" she said, "Yes, I hear it too. They're not in trouble, they're fine." I answer, "Big brother?" she asked, "I'll explain what they're really doing when you're older." I answered as I hop off the tree to see team JNPR covered in sweat jogging to the tree I was just on.

"What's going on?" I asked when they got to the tree. "I'm giving these lazy butts their daily exercise!" Exclaimed a fully energized Nora as she stretches, while the rest of her team gasp for air. "Wanna join?" She asked, "Yeah Derek...come join....it'd be fun." Pyrrha said between breaths. Celia then hops off the tree with a dead bird in her mouth. "Goddamnit," I mutter under my breath as I try to pry Celia's mouth open. "No, drop it. I said drop it!" I said as if I were trying to get something out of a dog's mouth.

"Oh...I didn't know your little sister....was with you." Pyrrha said between breaths as I struggle to get Celia to spit out the dead animal. "It's alright, Mini Derek can join." Nora said, "Nora...she's just a little girl." Ren gasped, "Yeah, and Derek is not even...wearing the right clothes for...exercising." Jaune said.

"It's cool, Celia can join, she can handle it and..." I finally get Celia to spit out the bird and I tossed it aside, "...I've trained in normal clothes before at the White Fang, doesn't feel good but I'm pretty sure I'll manage." I said. "Great! Alright, ladies break over! Let's go!" Nora exclaimed. We all then start jogging, after a couple miles into the jog Ren, Jaune, and Pyrrha started to lag behind. Nora and I were ahead of them, so was Celia mainly because of her motivation to be by my side.

"Come on ladies! My grandma can faster than you!" Nora exclaimed, "I got this." I said. I then slow down to their level, "Hurry the fuck up bitches! My little sister is not even tired and she's been dead for years!" I shouted, I then signal Celia to run in circles around Ren, Pyrrha, and Jaune. "Wow, I've never seen coaching like that!" exclaimed Nora. "Got it all from my training." I proudly said. "Wilhelm was like that?" She asked, "Wilhelm wasn't the only one that trained me." I answered, "Sometimes when we're being sent to places other than Vale we get training for the different climate. I was trained for the attack on Atlas."

"You were a part of the attack on Atlas?!" Ren exclaimed as we get to our stop. "Yeah," I answered. "Alright, enough chitchat! Time for push-ups!" We all get down and start doing push-ups. "I still remember the attack being announced on the news," Pyrrha said. I notice Jaune struggling. I move in front of him, "Goddamnit Jaune, you look a retard trying to hump a doorknob! Were you born a wimp pathetic piece of shit or did you have to work on it?!" I shouted, "You have a robot arm!" he exclaimed. I detach the robot arm and start doing one-armed pushup faster than him, "What's your a fucking excuse?"

An hour later we finish Nora's exercise class and we all sit on the soft grass, drinking cold water while Celia's eyes another bird's nest. "So you were at the attack on Atlas, like at the actual Atlas kingdom?" Nora asked, "Yup." I answered as I grab Celia before she could wander off. "So how was it? Being at an actual battle, is it like how the movies show it?" asked Jaune. "Depends, some war movies actually show the horrors, some are just pussy PG-13 films." I said, "We saw a movie based on that event directed by Jonathan Miles last night, what's it called?" Ren said trying to remember the film's name. "White Knights," Pyrrha said.
