I've tried keeping track of the days that have passed, but it seems that it never works. It feels like years have gone by, because time is never really here.
I can barely remember what warmth feels like, the cold and barren room that I've stayed in is as dark as it is menacing. I haven't found any friendly faces here, probably because I've been locked in here with my enemies. The loneliness isn't very lonely anymore, it's calming really. The isolation is the only thing I've come to know.

I haven't seen the speed force in what feels like weeks, I know I'm not healing without my powers. I should be dead, what with
my powers gone. I've managed to make it this far, so I'll be able to hopefully get back home.

If there's even a home to get back to.
"Shut up." I mutter, the voices in my head are just that- nagging thoughts that I don't have to pay any mind to.

Light trickles into the room, I haven't seen light in months. So, even the smallest amount causes me to scrunch my eyes shut.

"Barry?" The voice comes as a question.

"What?" I ask, attempting to hide the fatigue from my voice.

"How are you even alive? You should be dead, I don't understand-," I recognize the voice as Jesse. Why is she here?

"Jesse? How are you here? Why are you here? Get out while you can, I can't remember how long I've been here but it seems like decades."

Suddenly the demeanor of Jesse shifts like a plug had been pulled, "Glad to see you're not dead. I guess, but you're going to need this back to get home."

In an instant, adrenaline is coursing through my body, and I feel perfectly fine within seconds.

"Why? Why did you give me my powers back?" I ask, too dumbfounded to take off and leave.

"We made some minor adjustments. We managed to fix some things, you were just unaware of helping us. Sorry about those uh, old enemies being brought up, we couldn't have generated a force strong enough without your mental state being in one of distress. We can't say that you will be fine once you reach home in time, but you've been here six months."

I've been here six months? Six months! Iris... and god, what have Wally and Cisco been facing? I hope I can help once I'm back.

"Hey, there's a lost speedster on Broadway, think you can handle that?" The speedforce asks, and I coldly oblige. I needed to clear my mind anyways.

The white light of the sun blinds me as I race down the asphalt into 'Central City'. I've almost reached Broadway street when I run into a huge purple portal. I can't stop myself in time before I'm sucked through the hole.

(Author's note: So, I'm going to shorten this novel, as season 3 of The Flash is already out. I will finish with this chapter, as we all will get to see what happens as the writers have created it. I would continue, but as I have been actively watching season 3, it would be unfair as spoilers may arise. Thanks, Kayla. )
