Chapter 5: The Dark Thing

That's it. Finally, I got a complete picture on what's going on. Well, not completely but the theory made some sense. So, whatever we do, even they do, but not all the times, the probability may be a 95%. So, If we sit here, without bothering what's going on outside, even they won't come outside. Or, it could be different, we could be their puppets. Whatever they do, we may do.But I could not understand one thing, how the box was thrown into my house on the first day? The question is still unanswered. While Aetos, Fidi and Tiria were negotiating about the theory, I slowly walked into the restroom, My footsteps were the only sound I could hear. I open the restroom door, enter into it, close it back, I place my palms on the sink and look at myself in the mirror. I started questioning myself "Is this a dream? This seems to be a dream, because I am reluctant to get off the bed, that's why the dream's not ending" I started hitting myself very hard, hoping that this stupid dream would come to an end and I would get up in my bed. But that didn't happen. I slowly started walking , came out of the restroom, entered the living room and sat on the couch. I was staring at the box. I opened the box, while I was doing so I could see terrified looks on my friends' faces. I checked the contents, they were same, a torch light, a city map, the phone numbers, everything was same. So, without any more thinking, we quietly slept, hoping that the night would end and the day would begin without these weird things. So, the night passed and the day began, the sun rose, I wake up, I could hear the sparrows chirping. Everyone wakes up. As I enter the living room, my friends were already assembled there. They were discussing something else, something happy, which settled a smile on their face, and seeing Tiria smile was the best ^_^ . I, then got an Idea, which was one of the most stupidest Ideas I've ever had but this was for the safety of my friends. I announced "Hey friends, My parents are gonna come this afternoon .So, you'll all have to leave before noon. It was a great time with you.....and creepy too". "I'm glad I'm leaving but even happy for you because your parents will be here for you to take care of you, rather than three teenagers who make stupid decisions.", said Aetos. We all were laughing, but its only me and you, yeah you, the reader, who knows that my parents are not coming today. So, hours passed, my friends packed their things, and started leaving, I gave them a send off and went back into my home. Now, I was a bit freaked out  but I had the confidence that I can make any decision now without listening to others, and No one to take care/ care about now while these strange things are happening to me. So, hours passed, I was waiting for the strange things to happen, So that, I can research more about them. It was 8:00 P.M. still there was electricity in all the houses, there were street lights too. I was in my room, killing my time on Facebook, when I suddenly hear a thud. I thought maybe it was a sound made in the neighbor's house. Imagine yourself in my place, alone in your home, and you hear a thud, pretty scary right? So, I hear another thud but this time a bit louder and it did not sound like it was made by the neighbors. So, I peep outside the window to see what's going on outside and what I saw was shocking and scary. I saw a person covered in all dark, I couldn't make sure if it was a person or something, but it was all dark, measured up to 7 foot or so, slowly approaching my main door. I totally freaked out. I switched off the mains , all of the lights in my house were out, hoping that the "THING" may leave. I went into the living room. I wanted to check from there. I had my phone in my pocket, I dialed 911 and here's how the conversation went:

Officer : Hello, 911, what's your emergency?

Me : Oh, Officer, there's a person, I mean a thing covered all in dark, in my lawn.

Officer : Are you sure it is a person?

Me : I...umm....I don't know it's just all dark, and its approaching my main door.

Officer : Okay, son, lock all your doors, keep an eye on him and do no cut the line with us.

Me: Ugh okay officer, but I'm totally scared this thing is 7 foot tall.

Officer: Tell me your address.

Me: #3 , 2nd block, 252nd Avenue street

Officer: Oh okay, son, we'll be sending our units there in a few minutes, remember to stay calm and lock all your doors. you listening?

Me: Officer?

Officer: Yes? You listening?

Me: (with a dull voice) It's right in front of my door now and It's looking right at me through the window. Please hurry

Officer: Oh okay don't worry we are on our way....don't cut the line, son

(the dark thing bangs the door once)

Me : Ahhhhhhh (Line cuts) 

Officer: Son? Are you there?

I accidentally threw my phone on the ground, that was because of the force of the banging. I quickly took my phone and clicked a picture of the dark thing through the window as a matter of proof. I started stepping back and entering into the kitchen, ready at the backdoor to exit and waiting for the cops to come. Suddenly, the banging of the door increased. It was louder. The utensils in the kitchen were shaking and the floor was vibrating due to the banging of the door. My thoughts were, is that the DARK MATTER through which we passed yesterday? I couldn't take it anymore, My eyes were shutting, I had a serious headache......I fainted.
