Post-Squip

"Christine, I don't know what to fucking do," Jeremy confided in his ex. Despite Christine being his ex, they had remained good friends after breaking up, agreeing that it was better that way.

"I mean, how do I even talk to a guy? I only recently discovered that I'm bi, I mean, I don't want to make it awkward," Jeremy worried, which made Christine laugh. She took a french fry and ate it, the two were in a local diner.
"Jeremy, you already make everything awkward. I mean, do you even remember our first date?" She said raising an eyebrow, smirking. Jeremy rolled his eyes.
"I'm serious, Christine. Michael has been my friend for, like, twelve years. I'm not giving up twelve years of friendship for a stupid crush," he said begrudgingly.
"Jeremy, chill," Christine said, immediately regretting it. Jeremy had confided in her how the Squip's main goal was to make him more chill.
"I won't chill! That's the worst thing you could tell me to do! I mean, that just makes me think about the stupid party," Jeremy sighed, remembering through a fuzzy point of view how he shoved Michael, calling him a loser. He remembered the look on his friend's face, and he remembered how during the play all Michael wanted was an apology.
"Dude, if you're thinking about the squipcident, just don't. That was, like, two years ago, and he's forgiven you multiple times, okay?

Did I mention he's been gay for you since before anything happened with the Squip?

"I don't know, Christine. What would I even say?"
"Here, pretend I'm Michael," he offered, tying her hair back. "Hey dude," Christine-Michael said, in a lower mock guy voice. It just made Jeremy laugh.
"This isn't going to help Christine."
"Christine? I'm Michael! I'm a nerd and I love Bob Marely! I'm also super gay for you Jeremy Heere!"
"Shut up," Jeremy shoved her, laughing at her perception of his friend. It was pretty accurate, honestly.
"It's more than his nerdiness or music taste, though," Jeremy said. "He's super cool, and like, super kind. Anytime I'd ever feel down he'd know how to cheer me up. He used to help me build confidence to talk to you. Even after I left him at the party he figured out how to stop the Squip... he came to the play and saved everyone," he explained, his face going a bit red as Christine waggled her eyebrows.
"Speak of the devil," she muttered, eyes staring past Jeremy. He turned around frantically, seeing Michael enter the diner, eyes searching around, until he found Jeremy. He lit up, waving and starting to walk over to him.

"What do I do?" Jeremy asked Christine, panicked.
"Make a move!" She urged as Michael approached.
"Hey dude," Michael greeted with a smile.
"Hi, Michael! Jeremy has something to tell you, bye!" Christine said with a huge grin adorning her face, and Jeremy mentally cursed as she got up and left the resturant. Michael took her seat, looking at Jeremy expectantly.
"So...?" Michael raised his eyebrow. Jeremy took a deep breath.
"Say there's guy that you walk home from school with every day, you've known him since pre-k," he started, Michael's eyebrow's furrowed. "You're used to thinking about him in a certain way, from the persona that he displays, then everything changes, and he changes...." Jeremy paused. Michael was just staring, his mind run wild with thoughts.

Is he talking about me?

Jeremy continued.
"From a guy that you'd never be into, into a guy you're so totally into," Jeremy's face began to go red, and he turned away quickly. "A guy that you'd never be into, but now your bi and don't know if he's into you... is it worth it?" Jeremy asked himself this more than Michael. What am I doing? Jeremy thought, panicking even more, starting to sweat as his face got even redder. Michael took him by the shoulder and turned him around, his cheeks tinted.
"Is it... me?" He asked Jeremy quietly, timidly.
"A-absolutely."

Michael smiled. Blushing even harder, the two kissed.

So remember the guy who I mentioned in the a/n because he knows Joe Tracz? Well he's getting married, and the cast and crew of the play are throwing him and his spouse a surprise wedding shower.

You know what the best part is?

He's gay and marrying a man.

So I respect this guy so much because:
1. He knows Joe Tracz
2. Is gay and marrying a man
3. His name is also Michael ;-;
