The knocking had stopped. Michael's face was dripping wet from sink water and tears. Though he didn't know it, one person remained standing outside the door, leaning against it and listening.

"I should've stayed at home watching cable porn," Michael choked out, laughing dryly at his joke. Tears began to run down his cheeks, as he yelled, "I wish I'd OFF MYSELF INSTEAD! WISH I WAS NEVER BORN!" He collapsed on the floor, in a fit of sobs.

Jeremy began banging on the door in a futile attempt to reach his... friend? Though he had accused him of being jealous, he didn't want him to attempt to kill himself.

"I AM ON MY PERIOD!" Michael yelled at the door.
"Michael, to my knowledge you're not a girl," Jeremy tried.
"J-Jeremy...? What do you want," Michael spat, trying to hide the sobs in his voice.
"I-I didn't know that I hurt you so much, Mike."
"Too late for that," Michael said, his voice low. "What's done is already done, so just beat it." Michael seethed, pounding his fist on the door once.
"I am not leaving this door."
"You will once your Squip comes back, won't you? Optic nerve blocking? Have you even tried to solve that?" Michael said angrily.
"No, but I don't want you... to 'off yourself,' Mike," Jeremy responded, resting his head on the other side of the door. "Let me in please."

A pause.
A click.
The door unlocked and opened.

Jeremy ran forward, and took his ex-friend in a hug. He then closed and locked the door behind him.
"I'm sorry, Michael."
"Fun fact, sorry doesn't cut it when you claim that someone is jealous of you when you're a total douche... or at least acting a whole lot like one," Michael said quietly. Jeremy noticed the smoke in the bathroom.
"Smoking weed again?" Jeremy smiled sadly.
"Yeah. I just want to get high and forget it all," he chuckled, turning away from Jeremy.
"Michael... I really am sorry. I know it's not enough to say that, but what else can I do? The Squip can literally took over my body, make me not see you! Block you from my mind!"
"Then solve it!" Michael turned around, yelling, tears in his eyes.
"I... it's made my life better."
"Has it really! Because it's made my life miserable! I knew one day you would forget me like this! I knew one day you would stop loving your best friend!" Michael shouted, taking his fist to the mirror on the wall and shattering it into smithereens. He took a handful of the broken glass and squeezed it into his hands, making deep piercings in his skin.
"MICHAEL!" Jeremy yelled, prying his hands open and making him drop the bloodied glass. "I will get rid of it somehow, I promise! I do not want to lose you! I care way too much about you!" Jeremy held Michael's hands, both covered in bloodstains, still gushing.

He said nothing in response as Jeremy pulled him up and led him to the sink. He turned on the water and put Michael's hands under the flow of water. He winced but made no sound, tears still falling from his eyes.

"I am sorry," Jeremy whispered in his friend's ear, hugging him gently. "I'm sorry. Im sorry. I'm sorry-"
"Shut up," Michael laughed, "I forgive you, okay. It's okay." Tears still streaming down his face, he hugged back, bringing his friend close to him.
"I love you."

Okay I promise the next one won't be angsty I'm sorry lol
