The Untold Paradox

Chapter 29

The sun was setting; everyone was passing by the corner of the shop house to their destination. A taxi stop in front of the shop house, the back door open and Nana walk out of the taxi. As the driver went out and took her luggage out and give it to her, she could not stop looking at the shop house which brings her many memories. She could remember her mother use to arrange hot bake bread at the counter and customer was choosing which delicious bread to buy while she was standing at the cashier helping her mother out. She could not believe that it has been 6 years when she left to the US to study profiling. Right after she help solve the serial suicide at Myung Min High, the police department allow her to continue her high school and right after that she was given a chance to study profiling in the US and help police there in some of the investigation before coming back to Korea.

She has always misses the air and the people here but she has to a lot of thing to learn before coming back. Seol was inside the shop house when she notice someone familiar standing outside of the shop house looking into the shop house. The moment she saw Nana she immediate come out and shout,

"Nana!!!"

"Ajumma!!!" said Nana while she hug Seol.

"Why did you not call me that you are coming back?"

"I want to surprise you." Said Nana. Seol look at Nana, she happy that Nana came back home finally. Her tears roll out from her eyes like a river automatically. Nana wipe her tears and says,

"Why are you crying?"

"It's just I miss you so much. I thought you would not want to come back!"

"How can I not come back? This is where I belong!" said Nana again.

"Come up your uncle is inside!" said Seol while they walk into the shop house.

Two years after the case, Seol and Ban somehow fall in love and got marry after that. As both felt that they it's time for them to retire, both of them retire and they took out some baking lesson before opening a bread shop in the shop house which Nana let them to use.

"Nana when did you come back?" said Ban who just come out from the kitchen with new batch of bread which smell so delicious. Ban place the bread at the shelf before giving Nana a hug.

"Are you staying here for good?" said Ban.

"Of course! I need to take over the famous officer Ban remember!" said Nana. Ban laugh and said,

"Good... we were all wondering when you are coming back. When are you starting you work?"

Said Ban.

"Next week at Seoul Station." said Nana.

"Nana your room is still up stair." said Seol.

"But I thought you guys are using it. I thought I would just book a room." said Nana.

"No...Ban and I would never want to replace anything up there. Go up and change while I get dinner ready." said Seol while Nana carries her luggage up stair.

Once she got up, she was really surprise that when Seol and Ban said that they did not change anything, they really did not change anything around the house. It still remains the same everything was where she left it. She walks into her room and saw her old bed and study table. She places her bag down and walks to her table. She smiles at the table and saw photos that she had left there. Photos of her mother, Seol and Ban wedding, Bora and Jun Ho wedding, photo of their high school graduation, photo of Han Soo and her and also her and Chul Woo a day before she left for US.

Right after high school Bora went to police academic, Eun-mi recover from her crazy character and became the shy girl who Nana use to know which later on she became a school counselor in high school while Jun Ho and Chul Woo went to study business to take over their father company. The last time Chul Woo and her meet was a day before she left for US. But when she come back for Bora and Seol wedding but he did not come to the wedding. She has always wondered what had happen to him. Nana stood up and went to change before going down for dinner.

Nana walk down the stair and saw that the shop had already close, she must have been in the shower for a very long time that she had lost track of time. She went into the kitchen but could not see anyone before she went out of the shop to see a lot of people was outside waiting for her. Seol must have called everyone down to celebrate her coming back. Bora run to her and hug her.

"How have you been Profiler?" said Bora as she let go of her hug.

"Fine how is the detective of the year?" said Nana.

"Fine as always I just crack another case." Said Bora proudly.

"Can you please tell my wife not to do anything crazy!!!" said Jun Ho as he walk closer to them.

"Hi how are you?" said Nana.

"I'm fine and mad at her." said Jun Ho.

"What happen?" said Nana as she look at Bora who she know very well is a bit crazy when it comes to solving crime.

"She near got kill by a killer a few days ago because instead of waiting for her team she went in alone!!" said Jun Ho was who super mad at his wife.

"Bora!!! Seriously what if you get kill?" said Nana.

"I can't just let him go! You know very well how long they take!" said Bora.

"I know but what if you get kill? What would happen to me?" said Jun Ho immediately Bora stop and her heart always melt when he said that.

"I'm sorry!" said Bora as she went closer to Jun Ho.

"Please don't do that anymore!" said Jun Ho.

"Alright you love birds!!!" said someone at the back who sound really familiar to Nana. They too behind Nana and saw Chul Woo was walking towards them.

"Hi man?" said Jun Ho while they give each other their bro hugs. Nana look at him and was surprise to see him there. Jun Ho and Bora look at Nana who was staring at Chul Woo. They walk away from them to give them space to talk.

"Hi Nana!!!" said Chul Woo who was trying to charm Nana.

"Where the hell have you been?" said Nana.

"What!! I was doing business!!!" said Chul Woo who was trying to hide the real reason he went missing.

"You know I am a profiler right tell me straight where the hell have you been before I start profiling you!" threaten Nana.

"I was...I was in New York!"

"I was there...why are you there?"

"I told my dad to transfer me there so that I could get close to you!"

"What? Are you stalking me there?"

"I told you I'll protect you. I want to be there wherever you are, even when I know you don't need me but I still want to!!" said Chul Woo as he felt guilty for stalking her like that but Nana could not felt happy that Chul Woo would go that far for her. Nana went closer to him and pulls his loose tie to her and says,

"That was scary and romantic." As she pull him close to her and kiss his lips. Chul Woo was shock to see her reaction but he quickly regain himself and pull her closer to him before Nana change her mind everyone behind them cheering for them and happy that they were finally together.

Nana finally forgave Sung Woo for what happen to her mother and start to be close to his father. Chul Woo and her got engage a few months after she got into the force and got married 2 months after that with everyone there. Nana look at everyone who attend her wedding, Sung Woo who had change his ways and now helping their father with the company and her father who is trying to make up the time that they lose as father and daughter. She just wish that her mother was there with her at her wedding but she know her mother is watching her from above and is happy for her. Chul Woo stand next to her before looking at her and says,

"I love you!"

"I love you too." said Nana while Chul Woo pull her towards him and hug her tight.
