Date

Do I wear casual or fancy?

He didn't even tell me where we're going.

What if I need a swim suit?

It'll be fine I'll just wear it under my clothes.

Why am I so nervous about this? Am I actually excited?

It's gonna be hard getting attached but as I said, I don't think I'll mind being hurt by him.

I put on my bathing suit, a black tie up crop top, a black and white plaid type skirt, a jean jacket, and I throw some sun glasses in my bag.

I put my hair into a ponytail. Typical hairstyle choice for me.

I sit on my bed and put in earbuds.

I press shuffle on my playlist titled "Just..."

I'm Losing Friends by Tanner Swift comes on.

I sit there for awhile and just listen.

"I quit holding my breath cause I'm losing friends."

"Music is my everything." I whisper to myself.

I turn it off and put it in my back pack.

Now I have to deal with my dad.

I walk up the stairs slowly. He's on the couch.

"Emberrrr." He whines

"Yes." I say with no emotion.

"Where are you goinnggg. I th-thought we could uh we could uh... spend some alone time together." Shivers go up my spine when he says that. I know what he means. He's done it before.

"Sorry I can't. Going out with a friend."

"A girl right. Cause we can't have you hanging around w-with guys." He sounds really weird.

"Of course." I smile and put on my shoes.

"Bye." I say running out the door.

I stare at the house for a moment.

I took the day off work today for this. I hope it's worth it.

"Hey!" I jump grabbing my chest. Tyler puts his hands up and backs away. "Oh sorry."

I laugh. "Just don't sneak up on me k?"

He smiles. But it seems different then the one I see in school. I think he's actually happy? I don't know I suck at reading people and their emotions. Haven't exactly had someone around to teach me.

"You look great by the way. You ready?"

"I don't even know where we're going so how can I be ready?"

"I guess you'll just have to trust me." He says grabbing my hand and leading me to a car that I assume he drove here.

"Okay so." Tyler says opening my door. I have a blindfold on. He helps me out.

"This date is kind of a two part date. I could've been like hey I can make these into two separate dates or maybe three but I want them all together."

"Alrighttt...?" He takes off my blindfold.

"A lake!" I shout. He smiles at my shouting. I smile too.

I look around a little more to notice a picnic blanket with a basket.

"A picnic and a lake?"
