" Mom I'm going for a run kay?" I yell behind me as I'm already half way out the door.
"Be home be 8." Knowing how much I need it, she gives me 3 hours to run and explore the town.
Callenburgs is actually a pretty cute little place. It's almost like a reserve just way nicer. I don't know what it is about this place but as soon as we drove in 2 days ago I knew I'd like it here.
Our house is just like any other two story house and it's got a porch around the front and back, with a massive back yard that leads to the woods. We spent the 2 days here just setting up the house and painting the rooms. My room is now black and white stripes going vertically around the room, with all my sketches and photos stuck on covering a good 2 walls. My desk is by the window which over looks the forest and the river behind it.
I start by jogging, slowly working my way up to a steady run, but after going around the streets a few times I'm kind of getting bored of the scenery, and with still and hour and half to go, I decide hey what the hell why not go through the woods?.
I feel the adrenaline slowly building inside me from jumping over the branches, leaves and wild life, pretending I'm in one of those chase movies where the hero is getting hunted down by the bad guy. I stop when I get to the river realizing I just ran through the whole thing.
I stop and catch my breath ready to start home when something at the corner of my eye moves. Funny how THAT'S the time I remember mom saying to be careful of the wildlife here because they've got pretty much everything.
As well as black bears, including the one standing 10 feet away from me.
Well shit.
And what do I do?
Yeap. That's right. I stand there and take out my camera from my jacket pocket. I never leave home without and seriously when am I going to have another shot like this one?
But just as I'm about to take the picture not only does the bear disappear , but something knocks me down making me hit the ground hard with them on top of me.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I may get a little cranky when people make me lose my shot.
Then I look up and see his face. He has spiky blond hair and baby blue eyes that are looking right at me.
Anyone what to guess what I did?
That's right I lifted my camera and took a picture.
Of him.
The guy STILL laying on top of me.
"Do you mind?" I roll him off and stand, brushing my shorts and jacket, while making sure Marcus was okay.
Yes I named my camera.
I never said the real me was normal.
I look over at the boy to see him staring at me in shock. Rolling my eyes I talk first.
"Yo Dude? Hello?"
"Um..yeah?"
"What's your name kiddo? You're what 14?" He looks to be not that much younger than me only a few years at most.
"J-Jared...and I'm 16."
"Nice to meet' cha Jared, I'm Demi, now can you please tell me why you stopped me from making that shot?"
"Well um would you believe me if I said I was trying to save your life?" I could tell he was lying only because he sounded too hopeful.
I make a buzzer noise, "Try again." I smile though to let him know I'm not truly angry at him. He blushes a light red and mumbles something I can't hear.
