Chapter 10
Cyan
OHMYGAWD it's the boy from my dreams!!! Mother of Cheese Sticks!!!
I couldn't think straight! He was real!!! He's right next door!!! He's really cute!!!! Woah there, slow down. SLOW DOWN.
I gathered enough composure to think now. So if he's real, my dream was...
"Cyan!!! School time!!!" Mom shouted.
How long was I there losing my mind?!?
I checked my clock and it was almost the time we were supposed to meet! Why the hell did I agree to his offer?!? Beats me I was in another world when I saw him. Something was...pulling me towards his offer. Some force telling me to follow him.
I dressed up quickly, not even looking at the window. The window that revealed everything. Breakfast was really boring, just plain old bacon and eggs...and pop tarts. I love pop tarts so much that I have my own refrigerator full of it. I said goodbye to ma and pa. Being the only girl in the family, I was quite...loved so much they buy me a lot of girl stuff.
"DING DONG!"
Oh crap. He's here! Is my hair ok? Are my clothes alright? Does my breath smell like pop tarts?
"Cyan honey! There's an Argo Wiggins at the door!"
Ok. Here we go. Stay strong.
"Hi Cyan! Ready to go?" He said.
"Duh. I'm here aren't I?" I answered back.
There was an extremely uncomfortable awkward moment happening. Not exactly how I would want our first face to face encounter. Ma then broke the silence.
'So, Argo tells me you guys talked a while ago?" Ma asked.
"Uhm yea we did! Nothing important to talk about Ma. We just had something planned out."
"Yes Mrs. Crawford am I right? I was going to take her on a tour around the town before school! I promise we will get there by time! Anyways there isn't not much to see here." He added.
Well Argo really seems excited about this.
Mom also looked excited about this. I hope she isn't thinking what I'm thinking...
THAT THIS IS A DATE. BUT NO. THIS ISN'T A DATE. JUST AN ACT OF POLITENESS OK?
"Well then! Off you two go! I just gonna stay here fixing our stuff." Ma said.
We were about to go out the front door when mom suddenly put something around my neck. My Tiger Eye necklace.
"Thanks mom. I wouldn't go out with this." I kissed her goodbye and we left.
This was my first time to step onto uncharted soil. Jeorgtown soil. All these houses seemed normal. The grass and flowers and trees looked normal too. What didn't seem normal is Argo. He was so...weird. The way he seems so happy today, the way he touches the trees and it's leaves. Feeling every bump and crack. How he says good morning to everyone he passes and makes them smile. He seems like he has a rainbow inside him. I couldn't find anyone this happy. And I like it.
"Where to now Cyan?" He asked.
"Why are you asking me? You are the one who's gonna tour me!"
"You don't get the point. When I told you there aren't not nice landmarks because there isn't any. It's all here." He said while spreading his arms.
"So, It's you?"
"No silly. Everything is the tour." He laughed.
Ok. I seriously don't get it.
