Fix The Broken Pieces(on hold *sorry*)

Chapter 10

     I was just listening to them bicker back and forth when I looked over the new guys shoulder. When I saw who was behind him I froze. I could feel Mac touching my shoulder and hear someone say something to me, but I couldn't respond. Finally I did the only thing I could do, I ran. I ran through the other set of double doors and sprinted down the hallways. I didn't stop running till I was outside of the school. I heard the door click shut behind me as I slid down the wall. I pulled my knees to my chest and rock my self slightly, I can't cry, I can't even make a sound. My body is completely numb.

     The man from my new nightmare. That's who was standing there, the one who would always tell me he was going to kill me. Usually my father was the bad guy in my dreams, but recently, whoever this guy is has replaced him. I heard the door open but I was do to numb to move. I saw Macs face spear in my vision, she looked beyond worried. She kept signing questions, but I couldn't answer, all I could do is stare at the ground rocking myself. I heard Mac walk away, and when the door closed again I thought that meant I was alone.

Suddenly I felt army wrap around me. I got the same warm feeling of comfort that had calmed me before. I continue to rock myself till he pulls me into his lap. I look up at him with my sad eyes, Sinners green eyes hold many emotions, like anger, and worry. Neither of us did a word for a while, we just sat, my head on his chest. After a while he said, "why did you run off?" Something in his voices said he already knew, he just wanted to hear it.

     I sigh into his shirt, "you were right, I haven't been sleeping well. I have nightmares, I had the same one since I was eleven, but recently it has changed. I saw a guy, standing in the door way, he looked like the man who keeps saying that he's going to kill me," I tell him, I let out a shaky breath. It feels like my lungs were closing up, and I knew it meant that I was panicking. Sinner stayed silent, h must have sensed my panic because he pulled my closer. Finally I calmed down and stood up, I looked down at Sinner and held out a hand, "should we go back?" I ask him.

     He nods and smiles, he takes my hand and we walk back into the school. We walked down the halls and stoped at the double doors where we could hear a big ruckus. I looked down and noticed the I was still holding Sinners hand, I looked back up at him to see that he was already staring at me. I felt my cheeks heat up as I gently pulled my hand away and put my head down. I heard his chuckle, I shook my head and opened the door to see what was happening.

When I looked inside I froze. There were birds everywhere, tables were turned over, and people were running around yelling. In the middle of the room was a very confused looking Mac, and the other two boys were laying on the ground out cold. When I didn't immediately walk in or say anything Sinner looked in as well, "what the hell," I heard him mumble beside me.

Mac caught my eyes, she ran over to me. "What happened?" I signed.

She gave me a wary look, "I don't know, I came back in here after seeing you, and everything was just," she threw her hands in the air and looked around. I walked over to the two boys. I put my hand on the new boys forehead.

As soon as I touched him I got the same strange feeling that I get with Sinner. His eyes snapped open and he sat up quickly, causing me to jump back. He must have seen me as a threat at first, he lunged towards me, pinning me to the floor. He looked angry at first but a recognition flashed in his eyes. By the time either of us had processed what had happened he was ripped off of me. Sinner threw him at a table and let out a low, threatening growl. It frightened me, I had never seen Sinner quite like this. I sat up and my voice shook a little as a quietly called his name.

     I'm not sure how but he heard me call his name and was by my side. All threat had left his face, he looked at me worriedly. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Did something happen?" He asked frantically.

     I shook my head slightly, "no but," I paused, "are you okay?" I asked, my voice still small. Something  flashed in his eyes and he pulled me into a hug.

    He rocked me a little as he said, "I am so sorry. I scared you, I didn't mean it. It's okay," he let go of me to look at me.

     Mason must have woken up because there was a grunting before we heard, "hey Sinner, you want to help your brother out over here who just got his a$$ handed to him. You did something dumb, we get it, you do stupid $h!t all the time," he said. I laughed a little, I stood up and helped Mason up from the ground.

      The new boy walked over too, he recovered pretty quickly. Mac walked over, still looking confused. I look at everyone, "so what exactly happened?" I asked. Mason and Sinner looked at each other.

     Mac gave me a look and I shrugged. Sinner ran his hand through his hair and Mason looked at the new kid. Sinner looked over at me, "there's some stuff we should tell you about,"
