Against All Odds

Part 26

Bandana slowly walked towards the place where all the workers were protesting. Rohit wasn't with her. Two security guards were surrounding her but still she was feeling scared.

Her phone beeped. There was a msg from Rohit.

'Daro mat.. Confidence se jao.. Thodi acting karo.. Aur wapis aa jao.. '

Bandana sighed. She reached there. Some women were screaming slogans against Narayan.

"Vahinisaheb aap logose milne aayi hai.. " A security guard told to those ladies.

All ladies ignored.

"Main baith jau yaha..? " Bandana asked.

"Aapka hi hai sab kuch.. Hamse kyu pooch rahi hai.? " A lady said.

Bandna sat down near them. All the cameras of news channels gathered around her. She felt very uncomfortable.

"Aapka dard samajh sakti hoon main.. Dheeraj rakhiye.. Aapke sath nyay hoga.. " Bandana said.

"Aapko yaha kisne bulaya hai..? Aap yaha aa sakti hai.. Kuch bhi kar sakti hai.. Par hamare mamle me baat mat kijiye.. Hamara gussa aapki batose kam nai hoga.. " A lady said angrily.

"Janti hoon.. Aapka gussa.. Apka dard kam nai hoga.. Kaise bhi nai ho sakta... Par main use baant sakti hoon.. Aap log mere sath bant sakte hai.. " Bandana said.

Suddenly a lady came running towards Bandana. She had a long knife in her hand.

"Bandana.. " Rohit , who was watching everything from a distance ,  Shouted.

A security guard who was standing on Bandana's left side grabbed that lady's hand which was ready to stabb Bandana.

Bandana became scared. Rohit came forward & grabbed her Arm. She stood up. He pulled her out from crowd & pushed in car.

Rohit himself came in car. Both looked towards each other. Next second Rohit tightly hugged her.

"Mujhe tumhe yaha lana hi nai chahiye tha.. " He said. "Thank god tum thik ho.. "

Bandana was still scared. He felt her hands cold.

"Tum ghar chalo.. Ab tak toh ghar me pata chal gaya hoga ki yaha kya hua. " Rohit wiped her tears.

"Baba naraj ho jayenge na.? " She asked.

"Haan.. Bahot jyada. " Rohit replied.

Sumedh saw the news & widened his mouth.

"Rohit dada.. Iss insan ko bachpan se apna dimag na use karne ki lat hai.. " He cursed.

Aarushi kept quite.

"Waha pe Vahini ko le jane ki kya jaroorat thi.. " Sumedh said. "Aur yeh Amit dada bhi... Jake baitha hai kahi.. Subah se ek phone bhi nai aaya.. Bas apna hi karna hai sab.. Ghar hai..  Family hai.. Devaki Vahini hai.. Kuch nai lagta usko.. "

Aarushi gulped a glass of water. He was burning in anger. She ignored and came out of room.

Aarushi Looked towards Bandana's room. She heard some voices. She knocked on door.

"Jaubai.? " She called.

"Haan.. " She heard Bandana's voice.

Rohit opened the door. Aarushi saw scared Bandana.

"Jaubai.. Bilkul mat dariye.. Aisi bate hoti rehti hai.. " Aarushi entered in room.

"Wahi samjha raha tha main ise. " Rohit said.
