Marientte's beautiful cerulean eyes fluttered open at my sudden touch. "W-who are you?"

>>>Chat's POV<<<

I looked down at the petite girl on the hospital bed in confusion. "W-what do you mean? I-it's me, Chat Noir." I told the bluenette as tears started to form in the corner of my eyes. I can't believe she doesn't remember me. This is all my fault! I should have protected her! "I-I'm sorry, I don't remember anyone named, Chat Noir." She said, too simply as her words stabbed me in the heart like a dagger.

"D-do you remember anything, anything at all?" I asked, loosing hope by the second. "No, I-I'm sorry." She stated as her dull blue eyes drifted to a blank wall at the other end of the room. "I just have one question though . . ." She asked as her gaze once again locked with mine. "What's my name?"

I looked at her with a shocked expression. "Y-your name is Marinette . . ." I told the pig-tailed girl as my voice wavered. There was a moment of silence before Marinette spoke up again. "H-how do I know you, and why are you dressed up as a cat?" she asked, bewildered. "Well . . ." I started, not knowing how to finish. "Well, I am one of the two superheroes of Paris, so I am kinda well known to begin with. And I am dressed up as a cat because I am a cat-themed super hero . . ." My voice drifted off. "A-a superhero? W-who is the other one?"

Oh my God! Were is Tikki!? I brought Marinette here as Ladybug! When did she transform!? I frantically looked around the room as sighed a breath of relief as I saw her resting peacefully on the window sill. My gaze then locked with Marinette's once again and I continued, "You are the other superhero, Marinette." I told her as I pointed to her red and black spotted earrings.

"I-I am?" She asked, bewilderment once again evident in her soft voice. "Yes, and you are a Ladybug themed hero. We worked side by side to defeat akumatized victims -People who terrorize Paris-. "C-cool." She said, unenthusiastic. "B-but aside from being a super hero, who exactly was I? Did I have a love life? Did I have any friends?" She asked, her dull voice lifting slightly. "You are a baker's daughter and a seamstress . . ." I said and continued after a brief pause.

"You used to like someone at your school, but you never told me who, so I can't properly answer that one. Anyways, you said that you loved me a couple of times, so I'm assuming that love was genuine" I told the confused blunette as a blush cheeped up on my cheeks.

"O-oh . . " Was all that the blunette muttered. I continued, "Yes you had friends, but you got bullied by this devil named Chloe." My hands started to ball up in a fist. After a few moments, I took a deep breath and continued to tell the confused bluenette about her life. "Other than that, you were very likable by a lot of students." I finished.

"I-I'm so sorry . . ." Marinette choked out. I quickly looked at her from her remark, my eyes clouded by sadness. "For what, Princess?" I asked, by voice becoming quiet. "F-for not remembering my life . . . I'm sorry for making you sad because of me." She said, her voice almost inaudible, but I heard loud and clear. "It's okay my Princess, this just means that I have a second chance to love you all over again." I told her as I brought her into a soft embrace.
