>>>Adrien's POV<<<
I looked at the blank wall across my room as I listened to the soft pitter patters of the rain hitting my window while I was lost in my thoughts. She was my world.
My gaze moved to the darkness out the window as the events from last night played in my head like a horror film. She gave me something to live for. I felt a cold, hollow tear roll down my cheek as I leaned back against my wall and hugged my knees close to my chest.
"Kid, don't beat yourself up over this. Unfortunately, some people aren't worth your tears." Plagg's tiny cat-like body flew towards me and sat on my right shoulder.
I looked up and continued to stare out the window, the rain giving me a sense of security. "She did nothing wrong, Plagg." I choked out, holding back tears that were forming at the corners of my blood-shot eyes.
"I don't know what she is going through right now, but she always said that everyone deserves a s-second c-chance." The hollow tears I was holding back rolled down my cheeks like a waterfall as I stuttered the last part.
She was all I ever had. She made feel like I was important. I felt Plagg nestle into the crook of my neck as if he could read my mind. "I can't image her ever l-leaving m-my s-side. . ." I continued to sob as I looked out the window that was now matted by rain. After moments of me sobbing, Plagg spoke up. "Don't give up on her so easily Adrien. Like you said, you just have to love her all over again."
>>>Marinette's POV<<<
"I'm so glad I got to talk to Nathanael yesterday, Tikki!" Tikki told me me that I turn into a ladybug-themed hero, and I have a Lucky charm and what-not. "But what about chat Noir? He loves you, Marinette. You to have been through a lot together, you can't just leave him like that, after all he has done for you."
Tikki said as she ate a cookie. I looked out the window, feeling the emptiness of yesterday returning yet again.
"I guess starting over is best for all of us." I continued as I looked out at the gloomy sky. Tikki flew over to the table next to the hospital bed, "Just know that Chat Noir loves you, Mari. More than you know." Tikki finished. I don't know what to do. Nathanael is amazing and he is really sweet.
"I love Nathaneal." I said while looking up at the ceiling, the hollowness in my stomach growing. Tikki then retreated to her spot my the window sill and looked out the window, clearly deep in thought. "Something wrong, Tikki?" I looked over at the red kwami. "N-no, it's nothing. I'm just thinking about someone."
Without a reply, I fell back down on the bed, listening to the soft sound of the rain as it matted the window and lulled me to sleep.
>>>Time Skip<<<
I woke up about an hour later and it was still raining pretty hard. I stretched as the nurse walked through the door. "You are free to go, Marinette. Your friend Alya will show you your home and around the city today." She told me as she wrote something on her clipboard.
"Thank you nurse." The nurse nodded and walked out. A few minutes later, the same ombre haired girl from the day before walked in the hospital room. "Hey Alya!" I sat up. "Hey girl! I'm gonna show around your place and around the city. Are you ready to go?"
She walked closer to the hospital bed. "Yeah!" I put the bed sheets aside as Tikki got in a safe spot in the room.
>>>Time Skip cuz I'm super lazy<<<
Alya and I were right in front of a bakery. "Is this where I live?" I asked, bewildered. "You know it girl!" Alya walked up towards the door and unlocked it.
"Ha! I remember when you gave me the key to your house. I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing!" Alya giggled as she lifted up the key. The ombre soon got the door open and I walked in right behind her.
"This is a pretty nice place!" I said as I looked around the decent sized living room and kitchen. "Yeah, I used to always come here after school with you. This place is like my second home." Alya said as she started to raid the fridge.
Alya then made her way upstairs with a Pepsi in her right hand. After walking up the stairs and opening the trapdoor, Alya threw herself on the pink chaise. "And this is your room. Pretty cool, right?" The ombre took another sip of her Pepsi.
"Yeah!" I looked around the bright pink room as something then caught my eye. A bunch of pictures plastered of the same person above a desk.
"Who is that?" I asked as I walked over to the desk. "Oh! That was your crush back at our high school! Girl, you're like obsessed with him. His name is Adrien Agreste." Alya finished.
The name continued to ring in my head like a bell. "Hmm. It looks like I was a creep." I stated, bluntly as Alya practically died of laughter.
"Well, you're not wrong there, Mari!" Alya finished her series of giggles. "Oh! That reminds me!" Alya said as she set her Pepsi down on a table and grabbed her wallet.
She folded it out and is showed a series of pictures. Unfortunately, the only people I recognized in the picture were me, Alya and Adrien. "If your wondering, that kid to the left is Nino. He's really cool." She stated as she pointed the the kid on the picture.
"We seem to have all gotten along well!" I walked over to my pink chaise. "Oh! dang it! I have to go. Nino wants me to help him with some DJ stuff."
"Oh, that's fine! Thanks for showing me around Alya!" I waved as she closed the trap door to my room. After moments of taking in the view of my room, I eventually walked over to my pink bed. "Why do I have a crush on so many people!?" I shouted to myself as I fell on my bed.
"Well, Adrien was your first crush, and Chat Noir was your next because you soon realized that you didn't have a chance with Adrien." Tikki stated. "And now you have a crush on Nathanael . . ." Tikki said as she flew over to sleep on my desk.
"I just feel complete when I'm around him . . . I can't explain it." I said as I stared at my ceiling. "That's what you said about Chat Noir." Tikki scoffed. After a moment of thinking, I spoke up, "Tikki? what's wrong? You've been acting weird all day." I asked the red and black kwami.
"Well, each hero has a kwami, and I just really miss Chat's kwami -Plagg . . . " Tikki sighed. "I haven't had much time to bond with Plagg the past few months, but he is really sweet." Tikki said as she began to fall asleep.
Once Tikki fell asleep, I began to talk to myself like normal. "I just wish that love was easier."
Well, that's that. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! More to come soon! sorry if it was crap, it's freakin 10:50 p.m. and I can't sleep. Lol.
