A/N:
Sorry I haven't updated I've just been really tired and unmotivated. I'll try to update sooner with longer chapters. Also I've looked back at my other chapters and found a lot of mistakes that I'm too lazy to fix, sorry :/
"So.."
To say it was awkward was an understatement. The two teens had been sitting there for about 5 minutes without a word spoken. The car ride there was even worse. Normani knew what her task was, she needed to get this girl to fall for her. And in order for that to happen, she needed to created a friendship with her. She just couldn't figure out what to say. she looked over at the small girl who looked like she'd rather be anywhere else than sitting across from her, faint tear tracks still on her cheeks.
"Have you ever been here before?" Normani felt so uncomfortable with the small talk, but she needed to say something.
"Uh, yeah. Back in Texas I'd come here whenever I could."
"Texas. That's where you moved here from right?" Ally looked at here with an 'are you stupid' look and Normani was sure if it wasn't for her dark complexion, she would be sporting the biggest blush.
"Sorry" The taller girl cleared her throat. "So you've been here a lot? I've never been so hopefully you can tell me what's good?" and with that Ally brightened up instantly.
"Bacon, egg, and cheese on Texas toast." came the rushed response. But the Latina shrank back with scarlet cheeks a second after. Normani thought it was adorable. "I mean... There's a lot of.. options. The menu's right there if you want to.. Look." Nice going Ally, now she thinks you're a spaz, she internally scolded herself.
"No, I think I'll take your word." Another silence followed. "So, why'd you move here from Texas?"
Ally suddenly got defensive "It's not because I was so disgusting that no one would talk to me. If thats what you're insinuating." Her eyes were narrowed and her face was cold and void of emotion. If looks could kill, Normani would be dead.
The dancer was thoroughly confused at the sudden change of mood, and scrambled to fix the situation. She had no clue what the other girl was talking about.
"N-no I just-"
"Hi I'm Darron and I'll be your server today." A boy with dark hair and eyes walked quickly up to their table. "Sorry for the wait, It's been busy today. What can I get for you two?"
Ally opened her mouth to give her order before she remembered Taylor and her friends' words not even an hour before.
Let's face it, you could definitely stand to lose a few pounds
The little piggy's gonna cry
I heard that the only reason she moved here is that she was so fat and ugly, that no one would to talk to her
She casted her eyes downwards and mumbled out an "I'm not hungry."
Normani looked at her, eyebrows furrowed.
"You can order whatever you want Ally, it's on me."
"I said I'm not hungry."
The older girl rolled her eyes at her.. Friend? being complicated before turning towards the waiter.
"Two bacon egg and cheese sandwiches on Texas toast, and two waffles please." Darron scribbled it down on his notepad before letting out an "coming right up!" and scurrying away.
"I'm really not hungry Normani, I think I have that stomach bug that's been going around."
"There's no stomach bug going around, and I told you we were going to drown your sorrows in food. And what a shame it would be for you to miss out on your favorite food and lose those beautiful curves of yours." Normani finished and picked up her water, taking a sip.
