A/N:

I'm probably going back and editing some of the chapters for mistakes I've made so you might get some annoying notifications

"Bye uncle Jay! Love you too!" Normani called from her porch as the last of relatives drove away.  Thankfully none had to fly in, so there would be no one staying over.

She closed the door and let out a huff, the smile falling from her face. She loved her family, truly, but they could be so exhausting.

She looked around her living room and thanked the lord that there was minimal mess to pick up.

Eh, it could wait until tomorrow.

Normani had yet to apologize to Ally, both just giving each other glares throughout the party.

The cheerleader knew she shouldn't be angry. I mean, this whole relationship was supposed to be just a big acting job for her. But she couldn't push the irritated feeling away.

She truly was upset.

The cheerleader knew it wasn't a good sign, but chose not to face the reality of what that meant exactly.

Snapping out of her reverie, it dawned on her that the small girl was missing.

She had noticed about half an hour before but ignored it, still upset with her.

Normani padded up the stairs and towards her room. She assumed Ally was already in there.

In case this was true, she opened the door as softly as she could.

Just as she had predicted, Ally was curled up in bed peacefully sleeping. She had changed into a tank top, the dress she had on was in a heap on the floor in front of the bed.

She looked so beautiful.

What hurt Normani's heart though, was the tear tracks on her face, illuminated by the hall light.

And just like that, her anger slipped away. It pained her to see the girl cry, but it killed her knowing that she wasn't there when it happened. The fact that Ally had been curled up in bed alone crying...

The cheerleader couldn't think about it any longer.

Instead she closed the door and walked silently over to her dresser, pulling out some sleep clothes.

After changing, she walked over to the bed and got in, spooning her girlfriend as close as she could.

"Mm," Ally stirred "Mani?"

Her voice was hoarse, an effect of the crying.

"Yeah baby," Normani's voice cracked slightly hearing the strain in the other girl's "It's me."

Ally snuggled back into her, tangling their legs together.

The cheerleader smiled feeling their skin come into contact. She spoke again before Ally fell back asleep.

"I'm sorry."

A few seconds passed before the smaller girl turned in her arms so they were face to face.

"I'm sorry too." She sniffled slightly.

"I don't want us to fight with Christmas just hours away." Normani brought her hands up to her girlfriend's cheeks, wiping away the drying tear tracks. "I'm sorry I made you cry."

"It's ok Mani." Ally said sincerely. "I was just being a little ridiculous."

When Normani gave a confused look she spoke again.
