Chapter Six

That Friday I invited Michael over to my house.

"Wow it's really... wow." Is all he says when he walks in. I laugh.

"Thank you." is all I say. He walks to the back window and looks into my back yard.

"That's a fucking ginormous pool!" He shouts.

"Do you want to swim?" I smile.

"Hell yeah! I don't have a bathing suit with me though." He frowns.

"I'm sure Logan has tons, c'mon." I grin and pull him by his hand into Logan's room. No one was home and Logan wouldn't mind.

I open his drawer and see what I was looking for and some condoms. "Oh god." I groan and hand Michael a pair of Logan's swim trunks. Michael laughs.

"Thanks." He grins and walks into Logan's bathroom to change. I walk down stairs and put on my bright blue Billa Bong bikini. I walk out to the back wear Michael is waiting for me and I must say he looked nice with his shirt off...

--MICHAELS POV--

My jaw dropped at the sight of Maddie. Yep I definitely wanted to get in her pants, soon. I shouldn't be thinking like that because Sabrina and I got a little frisky yesterday.. oh well.

"You look amazing." I smile at her and she blushes.

"Thank you." I heard a slight giggle.

Her pool was huge. It had a waterfall that hollowed out and when you swam inside it, it was a hot tub. There was a big slide that went around it that was made of smooth granite.

While I was taking in the view of her beautiful backyard and her beautiful body she pushed me into the pool. When I came back up she was laughing her ass off.

"Yeah hilarious." I spit out the water that was caught in my throat. I climbed out.

"Your turn." is all I say. I gave her time for her to get a shocked expression on her face and I shoved her in then jumped in right after her.

"Jerk." she spits water in my face. I had my mouth open with a smile.

"Jerk?! You did it first!" I shout and she laughs some more.

I hate to get all sappy but every hour I spent with her I knew I had to spend even more. She was captivating me and I was trying to stop it, but she.. she's too much. I wanted to hit on her to hit on her. I didn't want to hit on her because I wanted to end up liking her. I do though. We spend hours on end together, there isn't a moment where we aren't texting or calling each other and I won't use the best friend excuse, because she's not. I like her. I can't deny myself that. I can't deny myself the fact that I've never felt this way about any girl before. I can't deny myself the fact that it will go away either, and things will return to normal. Might as well live in the moment...

"Maddie?" It was getting dark already and we were sitting under the waterfall.

"Yeah?" her smile lit up and I almost melted.

"I-I" god dammit why was I stuttering. It's not like I've never said it before.. well I've never said it and told the truth.

She had a questioning look on her face and her smile disappeared. "Wha-"

"I like you." I say as fast as I could. Eyes widen and she looks shocked. I suddenly felt a deep pain in my chest when she didn't look happy I said it.

"Michael.. I.." I was wrong.. she didn't like me. I'm so stupid to- "I like you too." She moves next to me and wraps her arms around my neck. I immediately hug her back around the waist. I couldn't tell what was going on with me, but I was happy. I was.. really happy.

"I thought I was crazy for even thinking about you that way." She giggled and rested her head on my shoulder. I wanted her to stay there.

"We are both crazy, and that's okay." I say and let go of her. "I'll be right back, I have to make a call." I say and get out of the pool. I left her with a smile on her face. I pick up my phone and walk into her house. I needed to break up with Sabrina.

"Hello?" I hear her voice say through my phone speaker.

"We need to talk."

--MADDIES POV--

He likes me.

He likes me.

That's all I thought about. Michael was so sweet and.. perfect. I haven't found one thing wrong with him and we told each other everything for the past few days. He doesn't hide anything. He doesn't lie. It's amazing.

It's been 15 minutes since he's said he would be right back, so I decided to go check on him.

I walked into my house quietly so I don't disturb his call. He was facing away from me and didn't seem to notice me standing there.

"No, you're not listening to me." I hear him say, "You're a beautiful girl.." who is he talking too.. "I haven't been a good boyfriend to you and I'm so so sorry." My heart drops to my stomach and I feel queasy. I guess I spoke to soon.

He turns around about to say something and his jaw drops. He hangs up his phone.

"Maddie.. I-"
