"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't nessecarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant." - The Doctor

The blue box. I see it again. I'm being chased and the box will protect me. I know it.

I've had this dream dozens of times but something was wrong. The picture was more vivid, and I was more frantic to get into the box.

I pushed open it's doors and was suddenly in a whole other world. A man was standing at a contraption in the center of the huge room I was in. Too huge to fit inside that box.

The man starts gestering to me to go to him. He says something, but I can't hear.

Suddenly theres a banging on the door. This is new.

I turn around. The door slams open and...

I wake up before I can see who's there. I look over at my clock and panic. 10:30?!

Then I remember: It's the weekend.

I smile and flop back onto my pillow.

That day, I just wanted to relax without stressing over tests or quizes or abnormal beings. The universe had other plans for me.

I was babysitting my brother that day. Our parents were out looking for a new car so I had to stay with him.

I had just sent him and a friend into the basement for more room with their nerf guns and settled down to read a book. Suddenly, my cat, on the couch beside me, perked up and wildly started looking around.

"What is it, Artemis?" I asked her. She jumped up and started hissing and clawing at the basement door. I got up and warily followed her. "You shouldnt attack the boys down there, its just a game their playing with foam darts, not real guns," I told her in case she didn't like the noise.

Thats when I realized I couldnt hear them.

I grabbed artemis and shut her inside of the laundry room. "Chris, Matt?" I called weakly down the stairs. There was a fluttering noise and suddenly the basement lights started flickering.

"Very funny guys." but I was starting to get really worried. Both of them werent smart enough to use the fuse box and get the lights to flicker. So who was doing that?

I hung awkerdly at the top of the stairs, trying to decide whether to go down there or stay saftly right here, when our other cat, Pansey, came tearing down from upstairs. Hissing and spitting, she launched herself into the lightshow.

She ran wildly around, yowling her wiskers off. The fluttering noise came again, then claws on stone and... silence.

"Pansy?" I whispered. She couldnt be gone, could she? And Chris, my little brother, they couldnt be dead? Then his friend Matt... o gosh. If his parents come by to pick him up later...

It was just an assumption, I told myself. They cant be dead. What would be down there that could kill them? I put on a brave face and took a step downstairs, just as the lights went out.

Haha I just left you at a cliffhanger. I'm sort of new to wattpad, so if I cant post a second part... jk, I'll figure it out somehow. Hope you enjoyed reading! I have lots of fun coming up...
