Chapter 9

The boys bewildered expression almost made me laugh.

"I'm Soutine." I tell him and he looks a little less concerned.

" Oh, what do you want with me?" He ask.

" I have this friend-"I start but he quickly cuts me off.

"Sorry,there is this one person I want." He tells me.

"Can you tell me who it is?" I ask,and he slightly blushes.

"This boy in the art club who is in love with everything Japanese. He super shy and nerdy. And really cute." Amor says face a light pink.

"If your talking about who I think your talking about, he has a art competition next Wednesday, if you want to support him." I replay and he begins to nod.

"Where is it?" He ask

"At the school. I hope to see you there." I tell him before I start to jog back in the building and towards the origami room. When I arrive I see hye-in locking the door.

"Where is everyone?" I ask

"Meeting  room." She says as she begins to walk towards it, I follow suit. When we arrive I see every club president expect for Fawn in there. I take my normal seat. We chat as we wait for Fawn to arrive.

"I'm so sorry I'm late." She says taking her seat.

"So why are we here?" Crystal asked.

"Sorry for the surprised meeting, its just I need to tell you all something." Alistair said and we all turned to look at him.

"So I've just been alerted that one of our school events are going to be cancelled." He says, as a lot of surprised gasp arise.

"Do you know which one?" Seijun ask scared.

"They're thinking of cutting one play and one dance." Alistair says.

"I guess I can just rearrange the plays I have picked out this year." Elizabeth says

" Which dance is being cancelled? " Crystal says in shock.

"I'm pretty sure they choose a spring one." Alistair said.

"Why are they cutting club events?" Melody ask

" they don't want to spend to much money on clubs." Alistair says and everyone looks shocked."that's it."

Well got up out of our seats and walk out of the building. For the first time, when I look at Elizabeth I saw an emotion, dejection. Her whole aura was changed.

"its alright Elizabeth," I tell her and she looks at me and puts on a smile.

"Thanks Soutine, don't forget next Wednesday." She says as she walks toward her car.

"Ready to go Soutine?" Hye-in asks and I nod. I head to Hye-in's car and wait for her to unlock the door. When she does I get in we begin to drive towards my house.

"You want to know something Soutine?" Bye ask me.

"What?" I ask.

"You are special, you have a way with people they could have just meet you and you'll be able to create a bond with them," Hye-in starts " but is it a blessing or a curse. With you a string connects from one heart to another. Never knowing who is the one because your close to everyone and gives to much. Your so amazing, but whose to say that one day your ways won't get you hurt?"

My eyes widen at she said, she was really inspiring. I think I just found out what I was going to do for my project.

"Thank you!" I tell her and she smiles. We arrive at my house and get out."Bye Hye-in"

'Bye Soutine. "Hye-in says with a gentle smile as I close the door. I walk into my house and  straight to my room. I take out my sketch book and begin to sketch out my idea for my project.

As I sketch out my drawing my mom walks in.

" Whatcha drawing Soutine? " my mom ask sitting beside me.

"A project for school." I tell her. Not looking up from my sketch book.

"Well it's looking good. I just came to bring you a snack. Have fun." My mom says as she ruffles my hair and places the snack on my desk.

"Thanks mom." I tell her.

"Your welcome Soutine." My mom says before walking out of my room. I put my sketch book down and begin to eat the food my mom brought me when I got a text. I pick up phone and see it was from Luke. I unlock my phone and read the text.

Luke: I'm bored cutie talk to me
Me: Uh sure about what?
Luke: Anything, please take away this boredom
Me: what are you doing for you doing for you to be bored?
Luke: My dad is making me read books about how to be a business owner. Ugh, I rather be reading a monster battle manga or a script this is torture!
Me:Business owner?
Luke: My Dad is the CEO of Almada tech and expects me to take it over in a couple of years. I keep telling him a want to be a  voice actor but he doesn't listen. Its frustrating!
Me: I haven't heard you voice act before. Now I'm curious, send me some of your work.
Luke: maybe another time cutie. I like texting you its fun and relaxing.
Me: your weird Luke you switch personas so quickly.
Luke: When I think of you it hard for me to continue being anything but happy.

My face heats up and my heart speeds up. as I read that text. I look down to see he sent more.

Luke: your the reason I'm willing to do new things and actually come out of shell.
Luke: You know your the first person that I flirted with. I decided to take that chance and go for it because it was you. And I knew I only had one chance. So I went for it.

At this rate he was going make heart escape my chest.

Luke: So could we maybe go out?

Go out? That means dating and I don't deserve that. I couldn't be Luke's boyfriend he deserves better than me. Way better than me.

Me: I'm sorry I don't like you like that, can we just be friends?

I just lied to Luke. I'm a terrible person, he put his heart on the line and I completely destroyed it. I'm a monster. I think as tears roll down my face. I feel a sharp pain in my chest when I see Luke's reply.

Luke:  Sure we can be friends. I got to go, dinner.

The tears come down faster and harder as I let out a sob. I'm a monster.

A/N: this chapter is a lot more emotional then originally planned. A lot happen in this chapter and I think the next chapter is going to be a little less emotional and have a character from early make a reappearance. Bai talers in training.
