Wow. Just reread first few chapters...... so violent. Sorry bout that. But as long as you get the gist of it; Shadepaw is a very young cat that has seen horrible things, and she still goes through every day with a smile and some friendly advice (well maybe not so much friendly as sarcastic.......you get it)

Ooooh, I just had so much chocolate! :D I told my friends that they should be worried by this. Most of them were, and stopped talking to me almost immediately.

I commend them. Anywho, time to write cause I'm not sleeping anytime soon! Wooooohoooo!

I look up at the dark trees that surround me and sigh. Another sleepless night.

"Well it took you long enough, kitten."

Mapleshade steps out of the shadows.

"I was at the Gathering." I say flatly.

"What's more important, your training or your social life?"

Someone else slinks out of the forest.

"Crowslash. Nice of you to join us."

Mapleshade snarls. Crowslash nods.

"Let's get started." The new cat smirks.

She walks around me, examining every detail.

"What is this 'power' you have, hmm?" She asks.

"I can.......create visions for other cats."

She nods slightly.

"Anything else?"

I shake my head.

"Not that I know of."

She looks thoughtful for a moment.

"Maybe there are different extensions to this power of yours, hm? Maybe there are other ways you can cause your enemies pain."

She smiles a bit wistfully.

"Not all injuries involve physical pain." I flick an ear.

"I guess that makes sense. So how do we find out what I can do?"

She thinks for a few heartbeats.

"Show me a vision first." She mews simply.

I shrug.

"It seems my work here is done." Mapleshade slinks off into the shadows, they seem to close around her and swallow her.

I concentrate on an elder tale, TigerClan, willing the huge striped cats to appear. The clearing fills with them, and the vision is so lifelike, I can smell the fresh kill on their breaths.

My night mentor stares at me with wonder as I call the vision off.

"You're more powerful than I thought........" She trails off, muttering to herself.

I get a sudden idea. If I can create illusions, maybe I can make others see the past differently? Change their memories by adding in some sort of vision?

I decide to try it out, closing my eyes and concentrating hard on Crowslash. I try to dig into her memories. I can't see them, but I sense that they are there in a way. Time to do some damage.

I work on transforming the unseen images into dark, twisted versions of themselves. She starts shaking. I know it's working. I bend it a bit more, feeling her fear and pain.

She whimpers, and I sense her starting to break down inside. I try to stop it, but my efforts seem to have no effect on her.

I shake my head violently to break the contact, but I can't. I start to panic. I leap at her, bringing us both out of our trances.

"What in the name of Brokenstar was that?!" She gasps. I blink.

"I......have no idea whatsoever. I just thought of something, then you started freaking out." I pant. She shudders.

"That was horrible. Gruesome. Terrifying. And that's coming from a Dark Warrior, so consider me impressed. You do know what this means?"

I shrink down a bit.

"What?" She smiles a little.

"You have the ability to drive your enemies completely insane."

Oooooh, cliffhanger! Kinda. Sorta. Whatever.

Sorry I made you wait for a relatively short, sugar influenced chapter. I feel bad. .-.

I'll try and write more when I can, but my teachers seem to just be piling more and more homework on us. Gee thanks.

-_- Really appreciate that, school.

That and soccer has started again! Yay!

See you later, my lovelies.
