The Complications In My Love Life

"I think I should go to my tab-" Leo starts.

"Yeah, sure. Its fine with me." I said, being near him to much time makes me kinda nervous. He stood up and said he'll see me around. I watched him walk to his table, as he sat down his siblings starting demanding answers to their questions.

"Demigods! I have a very important announcement to make!" Chiron says really loudly. I turn around and look at him. "There will be a camp dance. Everyone is invited, you can come alone or with a date. The theme is a  Night on Olympus."

My heart pounded against the back of my ribcage. I wanted to ask Leo, but we were only friends. I'll just end up alone. As always.

I knocked loudly at the Hermes cabin, expecting to see Travis. Instead Connor opened the door. I tried to smile nicely,"Is Travis here, Connor?" I hissed the word Connor.

"No, he's asking Katie out, Karoline." He hissed the names Katie and Karoline. We broke out laughing, we have this snake-monster-like language. It's weird how after living through his pranks, we can be great friends.

"So, Connor, I came to ask a favor."

"What favor, Karoline,"

"I was wondering if you could ummm, do this supreme prank on the Hephaestus cabin." I smirked evilly,"Unless its to much for y-"

"Nothing is to much for me." He looked around to see if anyone was around. Suddenly, he put his hand on my back and dipped me low. He smiled a bad boy smile,"But be careful with what you ask, because next I might steal your heart." He says. I raise an eyebrow, and punch his face.

I fall to the ground with a big crash. I stand up and brush off the dust from my hands.

"It was just a joke." Connor said as he made sure he wasn't bleeding from his nose

"If you were asking,'Do you want to go to the dance with me?' than answer is," I hesitated. Connor was like the best of friends, and we great trust between us. "yes." I looked at him, my lips curled up into a grin.

His eyes lightened up, and a smile crept up onto  his sneaky face. He looked at the ground and suddenly seemed to pay attention to his shoes. "But you have to do that prank! I'll come over to your cabin to explain the dance and that." I smiled and started walking back to my cabin.

Some hot (I mean literally) arms grabbed my wrist.I almost froze that person, until I saw who it was. "What do you want Leo?" I ask trying not to seem rude.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go to the dance with me?" he asked. I looked at his brown eyes.

"I-I'm sorry. I'm going with Connor." My eyes were full of sadness as I said I couldn't go with him.

"Oh. Its fine." Leo said as he gulped. "Well, I hope you have a great time with him."

He started walking back to his cabin,"Leo wait!" I yelled.

What are you doing Karoline? Saving our friendship.

"We can you know, still talk and be together. Anyways, Connor is just a great friend of mine."

He smiled,"Umm, OK. I'll see you at the dance." Leo said still smiling. I smiled back. I started walking back to my cabin, as a question appeared in my head. What was I going to wear?
