It's been over a week since anything strange had happened. You recently went on your first hunt in a while with Sam and Dean, Cas stayed home to watch Callie while oh were gone.
Today you were coming back home, your sitting in the back of the impala while Sam and Dean are driving you home.
"Kiddo... Do you really wanna send Cal to kindergarten next month? I mean, after all that's been going on lately?" Dean asks, you stare out the window.
"I-... I don't know, I want her to get an education, but do you think it's too early?" You ask, Sam sighs.
"I think, that we all think you should wait. She not even five yet, and a lot has been going on lately- it might be best to hold off another year..." he says. You lean your head on the back of the front seat.
"I guess so..." you mumble. You continue your drive back home.***
You feel your leg begin to shake, groggily opening up your eyes you sit up.
"We're here." Dean hold his hand out, you take it as he helps you sit up out of the car. You stretch with a yawn and grab your duffle bag.
"Are you guys staying for a little, Cas and I were gonna go to this new dive bar downtown tonight." You ask, they look at each other and shrug.
"Well, I did say next time-" Dean says to Sam.
"Sure."
You open the front door to find Callie sitting on the couch with Luke with some Pokémon cards, Cas in the kitchen cutting PB&J sandwiches.
"Hi mommy!" Callie jumps up, you give her a kiss from over the couch and walk into the kitchen. Sam and Dean go to say hi to Callie as you give Cas a kiss.
He looks over at you, you give a little laugh of sympathy.
"How do you and Sandy do this so much?" He sighs.
"You mean, manage a social and work life while still managing to watch the latest spongebob movie and make constant mac-n-cheese with peanut butter jelly sandwiches? It's called the talent of being a woman." You grin, giving him a hug and grabbing the knife from his hand...
"By the way, it's easier to cut the bread after you put the sandwich together..." you smirk at him, he throws his arms up in defeat.
"Your honored" he looks back at you and points before walking over to greet Sam and Dean.
You bring the sandwiches over to Callie and Luke and walk out to the backyard with the boys, you all sit on the porch table.
"So, what time did you guys plan on leaving?" Dean asks, you and Cas shrug.
"Whenever, Callie is sleeping over Sandy's house tonight, so we can leave when I bring them over there... I've been meaning to call Crowley, he should have some info on what's been going on." You say, Dean rolls his eyes.
"Eww...". You punch him in the arm.
"Shut up you doof." You laugh, Sam chuckles.
"Why don't you go do that then, we can stay here and hold the fort down while you and angel boy go." Dean suggests.
"I mean, if you don't mind? It would be like an hour or so..." you ask, Sam and Dean nod.
"You guys are the best." You give them a hug.
"I guess we'll go now then, call you when we're on our way back..." you all walk back inside.
You lean over the couch.
"Hey cutie, mommy and daddy are gonna go talk to Uncle Crowley real quick, Uncle Sam and uncle Dean are going to watch you for a little bit, ok?" You ask, her and Luke nod.
You give your brothers one last hug before getting in the car.
"Where should we meet up with him, we don't want anyone following us...?" Cas asks, you think for a second.
We can go to that lake near Piedmont, there's never anyone there..." you say, he nods and you start your drive.
You get there within 10 minutes, once there you call Crowley.
"Why hello ducky." He answers.
"Crowley, are you free?"
"Surprisingly, yes. Do you need me for another scheme now?" He asks sarcastically, you till your eyes.
"Meet me, I'm sending you the location now." You hang up, and text him the location of the lake.
He appears quickly and stands with his hands in his pockets infront of you and Cas, you lean back on the hood of your car.
"Well, you need me?" He asks.
"The war... we need information." Cas speaks.
"Very blunt, Lavern... But as I was guessing, your curious about the Goddess War, aren't you?" He asks, you nod solemnly.
"Tell me, love... Your clearly aware of the signs... What's happened so far that you need dearest Uncle Crowley to depend upon?" He says slowly.
"Alright drop the high and mighty act, will ya? Callie's been having nightmares, they were visions at first but they've gotten worse... and a few weeks ago we were actually followed by a car of angels..." you tell him, he raises an eyebrow.
"That's rather... odd. Visions are typical signs that it's almost her time to learn her position, but they should not be scaring her, and you especially shouldn't be getting followed... what are her dreams about?" He questions. You look at Cas.
"She, and our neighbors son, have actually both had dreams... Premise being that winged men in suits are coming to either take us, or probe us..." Cas tells Crowley, you lock your fingers with Cas' as he speaks.
Crowley stands there for a moment.
"I-uh, Castiel, may we speak... in private?" Crowley suggests, you glare at him.
Cas looks down at you.
"Y/n... it's ok." Cas whispers to you. You let Cas go with Crowley more towards the lake while you stay there, your head in your hands as you lay back on your car.
You watch their lips move trying to decipher their conversation.
"Your aware, Castiel, that what you two just explained to me is not what is supposed to be happening..." Crowley says quietly.
"Well now I am, Crowley I understand that we may have our differences but we need your help. What is going to happen to my daughter." Castiel asks. Crowley begins to speak but stops, he glances over the lake as the sunset's glimmer shines over the water.
"I'm afraid I can't answer that yet. I don't know why Y/n was tracked down, if anything... I'm just as lost as you at the moment." He replies, Cas lets out a breath of confusion and rubs his face.
"Well we need to find out! She's four years old she should not- and I repeat it not have to deal with something as big as this. For the sake of my daughter I will work with you if I need to, but this all needs to stop..." Cas demands. Crowley nods slowly and merely unnoticeably.
"Castiel... your also aware that she could become the Queen of Hell, correct?" Crowley asks softly, Cas shoots him a stern look.
"I'm aware, and that will not happen." Cas replies.
"It won't happen if we have something to do with it. You and Y/n really don't know squat about this war, do you?"
"Well... I mean-"
"Castiel listen to the name of it. The Goddess. War. It's a bloody war coming straight for your daughter. Remember that. And most importantly, protect your family, Cas." Crowley speaks before walking past him back towards you.
"Well ducky, it was a nice chat, but I'm off to more pressing matters." He disappears without giving you a chance to say goodbye. You confusedly get back in the car while Cas drives home to meet with the boys.***
Once home, you drop Callie and Luke at Sandy's house for the night, informing her to call you if anything happens, and then head over to the bar. You all sit at a table, and a waitress quickly come over to get your drinks.
"So, besides everything that's been going on, we haven't actually all talked in a while." Sam says. You smirk.
"I have a feeling this talk is going to eventually lead into how Dean wants a nephew..."
"I do! I demand a nephew!" He testifies.
"I don't believe that's exactly how it works, and besides, I'm satisfied right now." Cas states, Sam raises an eyebrow as you tilt your head at him a little bit.
"What's that face for, Y/n?" Sam questions slowly, you shrug and take a sip out of your glass.
"Well, I mean, I did always imagine having two kids..." You look down at the table, avoiding Cas's eyes.
"I mean, if that's what you want..." He says, you and Dean look at him with eyes wide open.
"Really?!" You ask in unison. He gives a little side shrug.
"Just... not at the moment, things are a little hectic...". You all nod and take another drink. "Agreeable."
You hold up your glass to the middle of the table. "To family?" You begin.
"Hell, to shitty jobs and parenthood." Dean holds his glass up, you clink your cups and all down the last of your drinks before getting new ones.
The night continues, and you all head home later. Dean and Sam take the guest bedrooms.
You walk out of the bathroom in your underwear and a T-shirt, flopping down on the bed afterwards. Cas takes off his trench coat and lays next to you.
"We're going to win this, you know that. Right?" He asks. You lay your head on your arms and sigh.
"I know. We've made it through every other problem, but I can't help the fact that our own child is in so much danger. It just... it scares me, Cas.' You say. He grabs your hand and you scoot up next to him. Laying your head on his chest, he kisses your forehand and rubs small circles on your arm.
"It scares me too."
