After explaining the upbringing to Alex and Sandy, you impatiently go back to your house with Gabriel.
As soon is you get inside you hug him.
"I haven't seen you since I was a kid! Where have you been- oh my goodness-" you wipe your face and take a step away from him.
"Well, I'm here now, and I know what's been going on-"
"But how are you here?" You cut him off.
"The last thing Dean and Cas had told me you were dead!" You vigorously use hand motion.
"That's for me to know and you to- well, I don't know."  He smirks as always, the smirk you vividly remember from your childhood as you used to walk around with him as your imaginary friend.
"Well, what are you doing here?" You ask him, walking into the kitchen with him following behind you.
"Like I said, I know what's been going on around here... And I have something to give you." He says, you grab a glass of water and lean against the counter.
"I'm listening." You look at him. He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a paper. It was old, and it crinkled loudly as he handed it to you. You unfold it.
It was a letter, one you had written when you were a child. Gabriel had written it with you- It was a letter to your future child.

  "Dear future son/daughter of mine,

I can't wait to see who you turn out to be, your going to do something great in the future. I don't know who your dad is now, but I bet that he will love you just as much as I will, and we will be there for you no matter what. I'm going to make sure you go to school, and help you learn that you can do whatever in this world that you want.

            ~From your mom, 01/26/1994"

You finish reading the paper, sniffling and placing it on the counter.
"What is his supposed to mean, who knows if she'll even get to read this..." Your eyes water as you look back up at him.
"That's exactly why I gave it to you Y/n-"
"To taunt me? My daughter is missing! And so is my husband."
"But they aren't gone!" He replies strongly. Tears drip down your cheeks as your lip quivers.
"Gabriel.... You have to be here for something. You've been gone for more than half my life, and you just show up now? What do I do- Why are you here?!" You yell. He walks closer to you, reaching for your necklace. He holds it in his hand, the light of your grace enclosed in the capsule glistens through his fingers.
"I think you know what to do..." he winks.
"Y/n!" You hear a voice yell, you look forward.
"Y/n?" It was Sandy. You were sitting at her kitchen table with her and Alex.
"Are you okay?" She asks you. You blink yourself back to reality.
"I-uh... yeah, just daydreaming. Uhm, I need to go." You say, standing up from the table. You speed-walk to the door with Sandy asking you if you were ok, but you run over to your house and straight to the office.
You rummage through your collection of books until you find one, dropping it on the desk as you pull out your phone and call Sam.
"Hey Y/n-"
"Sam I need you help." You tell him.
"Uhm, ok, with what?"
"Well obviously Callie is gone, Cas left this morning to find her and I can't call him... And I think Gabriel just tried to send me a message." You say, flipping through the book.
"Gabriel?"
  "Did I stutter? Yes Gabriel!"
"But how?" He asks, you roll your eyes.
"Sam I don't know, but I think he wants me-" you stop, here's a pause of silence on the phone.
"Want you to what?" He questions.
"I think he wants me to take my grace back." You say to him.
"Y/n no-"
"Sam my daughter and my husband are missing now! If it will get them back, then yes! The thing is, I don't know what he wants me to use my grace for..." you admit.
"Me and Dean will be over there in a little." He hangs up. You sigh, taking off your necklace and inspecting it in your hand. You look up in your chair.
  "What do I do...?"

***

About an hour and a half goes by before Sam and Dean show up at your house, it was about one in the morning.
"In here." Your voice echoes as you hear them open the front door. They follow your voice to your office. You sat there behind your computer, tapping a pen on your lip.
"Y/n?" Sam conjures you out of a blank stare. A notepad and books sat in front of you, scattered about.
"Oh, hi guys." You snap back to reality.
"So, what's all this about your grace? And Gabriel?" Dean asks. You sit up straight.
"While I was at Sandy's, I ended up having to explain to her who we really are"
"Hunter-wise?"
"Yes. When I was telling her, I had a very, very vivid message, and I think it was from Gabriel."
"Why do you think that?" Sam questions.
"Uhm, I don't know, because he literally showed up and had a full on conversation with me and held my grace in his hand, but the moment I came to, he wasn't even there at all." You explain.
"I still don't get how becoming an angel again is going to get Cas and Callie back..." Dean takes a seat. You sigh.
You spin one of your books around to him.
"Regis Ingentem Matrem Suam, title of the 3rd page. Translating to 'The Great Mother'. It was a fable told during the years of the 'Pax Romana'... The story goes that after a mother's two children were kidnapped by a greater force, she made a deal with an angel to borrow their power, and used it to make a deal with the kidnapper of her children. In order to get them back, she was forced to either fight to her possible death, or never see her children again. The kidnapper sent 150 of his servants after her, she slaughtered each and every one of them. In return, she was granted her children back."
You tell them. Dean scratches his head.
"So your saying that you want to take your grace back to make a deal with the men who have Callie, and then you'll fight them... And that will get her back." Sam asks you slightly sarcastic.
"Precisely." You nod. They give each other a look.
"Kid, don't you think-"
"Don't." You stop him from trying to give you a bullshit reason not to follow through.
"Now, what I need your help with is a way to get to them..."
"The guys who have Callie?" Dean asks.
  "Well no duh shit-for-brains."
You look at a picture in your desk. In the frame sat a photo of you and Cas, Callie wrapped in your arms as you celebrated her first Christmas. You smiled.
"I'm going to get them home..."
