The howling winds brought snow and a bone chilling ice which would make many cower. A rather common occurrence in a town within the mountains that received snow during the winter season. Most kids were excited and happy due to snow for school was canceled and they could stay home. In a normal comfortable cabin proved that fact as two children were outside playing in the snow. "It be another year of snow for us huh?", spoke a red headed woman who watched her children play. She was in her early thirties and had come to love the view of snow upon the mountains. "Of course it be winter.", spoke a teenage boy about the age of seventeen. The family had lived in Canada for few years. "Zack, why can't you look at the positive?"

"Mom, I'm trying okay. It is just I wished it didn't snow.", he grumbled while scratching his ginger locks. "Oh? You actually wanted to go to school? Oh, you wanted to meet her huh?", teased his mother with a smile. "No! Why do you tease me!", he spoke his protest obviously hating his Mom's prying. "I'm sorry honey it is just good to see you liking someone is all?". Zack sat on the living room sofa with a huff, he searched for the television remote. "Whatever, besides we are just friends."
Zack looked at the tv with a thoughtful expression, he of course liked his real good friend. Samantha was a girl who was thoughtful and sweet, they always had a good laugh together. "Hey you two come in soon I'm making hot chocolate!", yelled Zack's mother out to his little brothers from the front door.

"Okay Mom!", replied his brothers who were laughing and throwing snowballs at one another. Zack heaved a sigh as he watched the weather. "Great more snow.", he was a fairly good student and school wasn't much of a bother to him. He just wanted to go to not only meet Samantha but his good friends as well. "You want some to Zack?", asked his mother who was making the hot chocolate. "Yeah I guess", he sighed.

The town had got quite a bit of snow, the population were making slow trips to gather resources such as food and drinks before more snow were to arrive. It was about lunch time and many were out and about in the town. Many of people were not working and were getting prepared for the winter. In the mountains over looking the town nestled away due to the trees was a fairly large facility. Fences and gates separated the place and kept many who were curious out. "Eh! Do we got enough fuel for the generators!", yelled a man running from his truck to the facility. "Aye I think so!", yelled a gentleman closing the door behind him. "Man, it really picked up huh?", chuckled the man as he removed his fur rimmed hood.

"Yep, how's Shannon and the kids?", asked the gentlemen who locked the doors. "Huh? Oh they are alright! School was canceled today.", replied the still chuckling man. "That is good! I am also sure my good friend Luther wished work was called off huh?" Luther laughed as he took off his goggles revealing his blue hues. His almost sandy ginger hair faintly damp with sweat over his brow. "Nah, we need the money! Besides, I love my job.", Luther laughed again as he removed his coat. "So, I'll be here pretty late so you can go home early if ya want Ron?" spoke Luther.

Ron cracked a grin, "Then you'd be alone and let me say I wouldn't want to be left alone out here." Luther chuckled, "I'm not scared but it be up to you? I stopped by the store and got somethings." Ron flashed a smile before looking at the bags Luther had. "Great! Oh, did you get some steak? I be craving it!"
Luther laughed walking to a rather secure door pushing down buttons on the security panel. "Do you think you deserve steak?", he teased. Ron frowned looking almost offended. "How dare you! I have been good all week!", Ron's brown eyes closed as he crossed his arms walking up close to Luther. "Eh, whatever man. Let's get to work.", Luther chuckled as the doors opened with a faintly loud beep as they both walked down the white hallway.
