Ragged breathing full of terror and a morbid thrill, seemed to be the highlight of this disgusting situation. A living person who was innocent and horribly scared was killed in such a gruesome way by deaths pet. Jason had hot tears streaming from his cheeks, his heart beating rapidly in the confines of his chest. Samantha was not far behind tripping over her feet quite a few times trying to desperately run away from the horror that seemed to breath down her neck. Though, the beast wasn't chasing them down the feeling of it being out there was enough to make their blood run cold. It was like they could not escape whatever it was that seemed to follow them like a shadow.

"I can't believe that happened!?!", wheezed out Samantha hugging the wall once they came to a stop far away from the narrow hallway. "It just...!", she sobbed uncontrollably with her eyes shut tightly trying so hard to forget what had happened. Jason grimaced looking down the hallway, "Better her than us." To his words Samantha looked at him with a face showing remorse and pain, "No one deserves to die like that!" Jason closed his mouth and clicked his tongue, his thoughts were all over the place. He could easily get the things off of his chest but he would look weak if he did so.

Besides, he didn't know that woman so how could he feel bad for her? Jason looked away from Samantha figuring to give her space before seeing faint lights in the blowing snow. "I think someone pulled in?", he spoke out lightly curious before frowning. "Someone sure knows how to pick the time."

Samantha blinked looking at the windows, but not once approaching it. To think she became so fearful of windows that it had completely paralyzed her from moving. "God, it could be Zack's Mom.", she whimpered having remembered she had tried to call her but with everything that happened it kind of left her mind. Jason blinked and he looked fed up, "God Why!?!"

The wind blew quite a lot of snow, with so much coming down it almost looked like fog. Luther parked the car and opened the door with his mind on one thing, saving his son and perhaps even his friends. "It sure is bad out.", spoke Shannon stepping out of the car her eyes soon looked to her children in the back seat of the car. Luther walked around in order to help her get their children out when he froze. A dull sound reached his chilled ears, the sound was like thumping of something large. He looked back slowly, and with the weather the way that it was he couldn't make out any shapes. "Is that a earthquake?", asked Shannon now stopping her movements in order to hear the sound better.

Luther frowned, "No, it's the animal I told you about." His voice was a sharp whisper which made his breath appear in the cold air. Shannon blinked with her eyes wide when she looked at her son, Will. His bright eyes had apparently picked up on something, he even had a goofy smile on his adorable face. "Will what is it?", she asked quietly her lips coated in bright red lipstick seemed to shiver from something other than the cold. Will pointed the smile never leaving his face, "Dinosaur!"

Luther quickly went into motion running and pushing Shannon while handing her Will. "Go NOW!?!" Shannon bursted into a full on sprint while cradling Will in her arms. Luther wasn't far behind having grabbed Thomas and running after her, the loud sound of crushing metal and a ravenous roar right behind them. They both ran toward the outline of the hospital building, the thunderous footsteps and the feeling of each one seemed to engrave itself into their ears. Shannon ran to the large gaping hole of what used to be the hospital entrance. Luther ran not once looking back, and he quickly ran in holding on tightly to a confused Thomas.

Upon the arrival of Zack's parents the thunderous steps seemed to have ceased. It wasn't long before a loud agitated roar filled the air. Samantha ran toward the entrance and sighed strongly seeing that they were okay. "Thank god!?!" Jason came up behind her and stopped seeing them in one piece, "I bet you guys saw it huh?"

Luther looked to Will before replying out of breath, "He saw it, thank god to his good sight." Shannon looked at them both as she asked, "Where is...!" It wasn't long before Zack came into view with the doctor behind him. "Mom! Dad!", yelled Zack as he ran over to his family giving them the best hug that he could. Shannon hugged him back with tears appearing in her eyes, "Thank goodness you are alright!" Luther frowned lightly seeing his arm, "Are you alright?"

Zack nodded as he looked to his arm and he looked at Samantha, "I thought you called her to...?" Shannon softly touched his head, "She tried to call me but the signal was not strong". Samantha looked at him apologetically, "I tried but..." Jason groaned, "We had a situation."

Zack smiled a bit respectfully before looking at his parents, "I didn't want you guys to get caught up in this. I'm sorry." Luther shook his head, "It couldn't be helped. We are caught up in it now and we gotta do something." Zack frowned, "What do we do?"

Samantha looked at them before softly walking to Zack's side. Luther frowned as he tried to think of a idea, "We need to call someone before anything else happens." Jason scoffed, "Like Samantha said though we can't! Weather be to bad too!" Samantha frowned sourly at Jason before looking down. Luther frowned, "Hopefully the blizzard will pass, the moment there is a little break in the weather we will have to call someone that could kill this animal. Better we do it before something else happens."

Zack blinked, "Something else?" Luther sighed defeated, "The facility I worked at had something to do with this animal. They made it and they don't want it killed." Jason scoffed, "You for real! It be your fault that this bloody creature is killing people!" Zack frowned at Jason, "Lay off man!?! My dad had nothing to do with it!" Shannon frowned looking at her husband and her son, it was quite clear that Luther feels some what responsible for all this. Even so, it was not his fault. "It is not anyone's fault besides the facility. We are here now and we will have to deal with it.", spoke Shannon trying her hardest to ease the tension between Zack and Jason.

Luther nodded still looking upset, "It is late and the weather be bad. Maybe at daylight we can call someone. Until then stay together and don't go outside." Zack nodded as he slowly looked at Samantha who lightly smiled at him. The doctor merely nodded having heard a bit of their conversation, "We can stay in the upstairs waiting room" Luther nodded agreeing, "Anything is better than being on the ground floor."

Everyone slowly made way to the second floor, the look of exhaustion appeared on most of everyone's faces. Jason was walking behind everyone while holding Bridget's hand. Zack seemed a little worried about being on the second floor, Samantha seemed to share the same thoughts as Zack. The doctor showed them to a waiting room with very few windows, "I have to check on the other patients but if you need me come get me."

Luther nodded thanking him before softly taking a seat in a chair. Zack sat down against the wall feeling better having a brick stone like wall more than a run down old wood shack wall. Shannon kept a close eye on Thomas and Will who seemed unaware of the danger they were in. Luther occasionally would look around making sure everything was in order.

All that was left was to wait for the morning to come, it was really late and outside was as black as a limitless black hole. The constant snowing seemed to make it even darker if that was possible. The beast was out there without a doubt, completely cloaked in darkness waiting for its next victim. Honestly, Luther didn't like that at all. Sure, he knew it was a dinosaur but the fact that it was strong and relentless brought so many chills down his body. The appearance of its maw was enough to make goosebumps appear on his supple skin.

Luther shuddered remembering his friend was torn apart by the animals teeth. Those demonic fangs tore into his flesh like soft cheese. Luther did not want that to happen to his family, he would die first before letting that happen to them. He was going to protect them no matter what. Sure, he was not equipped for whatever was coming his way but he was going to try very damn hard. Luther closed his eyes and sighed allowing himself to relax and rest, even though he doubted he could sleep.
