~ Chapter 37: And So It Begins

After Andrea had calmed down she had completely broke down sobbing into her brother's arms holding onto him for dear life which was when the therapist suggested to give the siblings some privacy which they agreed and left the two by themselves.

Jinxx had took Ella, Juliet and Alice back home after Andrea had calmed down which left Jake and Ashely to ask information about CC since they hadn't heard anything from since the nurse, Inna had first talked to them.

"We're just waiting on the results to make sure he's completely fine but by the looks of it he's okay." Inna explained as she lead Ashely and Jake towards CC's room. "However, I should add that the hit he took was pretty bad so he can have some trouble remembering a couple of things of what happed over the past 24 hours so I suggest you help him fill in the blanks in but make sure to pick your words wisely since we don't know how he'll react." Inna said coming to a complete stop at a door her hand was on the handle as she looked over at the two who only nodded as if telling her they understood.

Opening the door she stepped aside letting them in before excusing herself to go check on her other patients.

Ashely sighed looking over at one of his best friends who was sound asleep. "What the hell do you think happened?" He heard Jake ask while they both pulled a chair close to CC's bed.

Taking a seat Ashley only sighed "I don't know but what I do know is that whoever did this is so fucking dead ones I get my hands on 'em."

Before Jake could even response a low groan was heard making both males head snap towards the drummer's bed "Oh shit, he's waking up!" Jake said in a hushed tone nudging Ashely as CC's eyes began to flutter open.

"Wh-...where the hell am I?" The drummer asked his voice groggy and rough squinting his eyes slightly from the bright lights that were in the room.

"You're in the hospital bud." Jake said placing his hand on the drummers forearm catching his wondering eyes

A look of confusion washed over his facial features as he looked over to the now silent base player who only nodded letting Jake continue.

"H-how? Wh-..." CC began to ask before being cut off by another hand being placed on his arm but this time it was from Ashley.

"Do you know what today is, C?" He asked confusing the drummer even more making his sigh slightly "CC it's Friday remember?" He added

CC was quite for a couple of minutes before nodding and that's when his eyes widen in realization

"Andrea." He said barely above a whisper "Andrea, where is she?!" CC asked but his question seemed to fallen into death ears as Jake and Ashely said nothing

"I-...I need to see her " he muttered tears threaning to fall as he quickly tried to get up while trying to rip the IV off "I need to see her!"

"Dude stop! You're gotta hurt yourself" Ashley quickly stood up trying to push the drummer back onto bed but said man resisted against his friend

"No! No she was screaming Ash, she was calling out for me and I couldn't find her I fucked up I shouldn't have took my eyes off of her!" CC was now starting to lose it. The heart mometer was beeping like crazy.

A doctor rushed inside the room followed by two more nurses.

He tried to calm the drummer but it was no use, CC just wouldn't stop asking about Andrea, when they refused to tell him he would get worse giving the doctor no choice but to sedate

The sounds of his heartbeats coming from the heart mometer began to slow down; normalizing as the sedation began to kick in.

Gesturing for Ashely and Jake to follow him outside the room he asked "Is the girl Mr. Mora kept asking for a patient here?" As he read CC's chart to which they both nodded in confirmation

Looking up from the chart, the doctor nodded "It would be best if he is infromed about her condition as soon as possible, maybe that would help him." He suggested before leaving the two after being called by one of the nurses.

Ashely glanced at the small widow that was on the room door.

"Who's gonna tell him?"

"I will," Jinxx's voice came behind both men who quickly spun around.

Not bothering to ask how long he was there, Ashely and Jake took a step back letting Jinxx by.

A somber look adorned Jinxx feature as he took a breath, his hand on the door knob and his eyes momentarily closed before opening them be walked in closing the door behind hom.

With a heavy heart he mentally prepared himself to tell his best friend one of the most horrible news imaginable.
