The Demon and The Angel

Chapter 1

       Dahlia Flower, age 18, was outside in the flower field of the Golden Garden. Her gold wings were shining in the sunlight as her sapphire blue eyes was looking down at her lap as she was making an enchanted flower crowns for her best friends. Her blonde hair was up in an angel braid and her white dress covered her completely. Yep, she was definitely an angel that dwelled in Golden City. A place of peace and perfection; where every angel dwelled. Never once has she experienced pain, sorrow, sadness, or anything bad in her life. Just as she finished, one of her friends, Emir Rose, age 18, ran up to her.
     "Hey Daisy!" She called as she looked up.
     "Hey Emir! What is it?" Dahlia asked.
     "There's a meeting going on! Are you coming?"
     "Oh yeah!" She smiled and nodded before she got up and flew with her friend, to the center of the city.
     "Ladies and gentlemen! Today we are gathered here to commemorate a new angel to a new task!" The head angel spoke as Dahlia and Emir looked at each other. They were both full grown adults now, so they knew that their time was near. The two looked as the head angel continued. "You all know! One angel must be chosen! If this angel shall pass, then he or she shall be a full member of Golden City! However! If he or she shall fail, then it is clear that they were not ready! And now, the next angel to be sent out is....Dahlia Flower!" Daisy was shocked. She wasn't expecting to be next as she felt she wasn't ready. Her parents both smiled and hugged her as well as Emir.
     "Congratulations sweetie!" Her mother smiled.
     "I'm so jealous though! I wanted to be next!" Emir pouted as Daisy giggled.
     "Maybe next time. I'm so nervous though.."
     "Don't be." Her father said softly as he kissed her head. "I know you'll do well."
     "What is my quest?" Daisy asked softly.
     "To find the enchanted golden flower." The head angel spoke. "You have one month. Good luck Dahlia."
     "Don't you think that's a little too much?" Emir asked.
     "No. She'll do just fine." Her father smiled, making Daisy blush a bit. So she was finally getting out of Golden City for her test. And she had month to complete it..
