Chapter 10 - Confessions: Your Turn

Lucy and Lisanna sat across from each other on the ground.
"So... who's getting Natsu?" asked Lucy.

"I for one believe I should get him. I mean I am his childhood best friend, raised Happy with him, and we even said we would get married" said Lisanna, trying to really win Natsu over.

"On the other hand, I am his partner since I joined. I am basically your replacement while you were "dead," but better."

"But Natsu and I had made a promise and kept it for (about) 17 years."

"I think you mean YOU kept the promise. I bet Natsu forgot because he met me!"

"No! I got him first anyway so he's automatically mine!"

"We'll see about that. Another round?"

"Yeah..."

Back at the inn

The rest of the team unpacked their stuff for the rest of the day. Everyone else except you and Natsu went to the beach.

"Hey Natsu."

"Yeah (Y/N)?"

"Do you like Lucy?"

"I mean she's one of my closest friends. She can be a bit mean but she means well."

"How about Lisanna?"

"I grew up with her. She can be a bit annoying though."

"What about me?"

"(Y/N), you are amazing. I mean you're cool and strong and... pretty."

"What was that last part? I couldn't hear you." That was a complete lie.

"Oh nothing. Oh by the way, you have been acting a bit strange lately. One moment you are quiet and the next you are super hyper. It's not a bad thing. It's just weird."

"Oh yeah. You haven't kicked in yet. It's almost the official mating week remember? Also don't you remember that we trained together as kids? Natsu Dragneel, son of Igneel the fire dragon, and (Y/N), daughter of Neimra the water dragon. Does that ring a bell?"

"Wait." It took Natsu to remember then he hugged you tightly and started sobbing.

"I thought I lost you!"

"Well you certainly lost me in that thick skull of yours. I missed you too."

Few minutes of hugging and awkward silence.

"Natsu, I've wanted to tell you something for a long time. I-I...."

"Love you too, (Y/N)."
