After two weeks of barely sleeping, lots of drinking, and nights spent by the fire, we were finally arriving back home. Andrew and I grew closer over the two weeks and I was grateful to make another friend. Jase and I opened up more to each other about the things we were keeping inside, and now keeping between one another.
Jax and I talked frequently on the phone and texted when we could but I was excited to be seeing him again.
But most of all I felt better, I wasn't torturing myself the entire time about what happened to Jase, about Juice's death, and about killing that man... it still haunted me but I was better.
-
My dad wrapped his arms around me and I giggled, "Two weeks is much too long," he chuckled.
"I missed you." I smiled, looking behind him to see a set of blue eyes I was the most excited to see.
"Oh go on," he rolled his eyes jokingly, knowing I wanted to see him. I then ran to jax and wrapped my arms around his neck and crashing my lips on his, living in the feeling that he gave me.
When we pulled away Jax looked down at me with a goofy smile, "I missed you."
-Jax's pov-
Robin and I still haven't spoke more about the mayan, and I didn't want to push it on her when she was still how she was, but I knew I we'd talk about it eventually. "I missed you." I said before kissing the top of her head, ignoring the fact that I sounded like a giddy high school boyfriend who didn't see his three week girlfriend for two days... But Robin wasn't that girlfriend and I wasn't that boyfriend.
I had figured that out pretty quickly.
We pulled up into the club and I put the van in park, watching as Chibs parked his bike and waved at us before entering the club. Jase and his friend went to his place so it was just Robin and i. "How is everything here?" she asked before lightly biting her lip.
"You look tanner," I smirked caressing her cheek lightly.
"I'm serious, what's going on?" she pushed.
I sighed, "Good news is that we are on good terms with the Mayans, they're sorry for going after you not knowing that you were the kid of a member, so that's that." I said, pulling the keys out and sliding them in my pocket.
"Jax..." I mentally groaned. I knew I couldn't keep anything from her, "One of the brothers from that night got away, we are tracking them but we don't know where they are or if they will retaliate, so that's why we sent you to Canada."
"We?" she questioned
I nodded, "We all pitched in for your trip, needing you to be safe."
She looked down at her jeans, "Wow." She breathed, "Is everyone okay?"
"Yeah nothing has happened since, but we are all being safe now, not letting anything slide."
She breathed out in relief, "I love you, you know that?"
I chuckled and kissed her forehead, "I know."
-Robin's pov-
After a couple drinks I was in the seat of the van waiting for Jax to take me to his house. It was an amazing night shared with everyone I loved, and I was happy to be back, but it was also a dose of reality being home and finding out that the gang who hurt Jase was still out there and probably pissed about that night. Anyone was a target... collateral damage.
