She was dressed entirely in black, red and gold, eyes decorated with black and white eyeshadow  until she opened them, peach lips sucking in air as he looked at the handcuff style garments on her wrists.

"Phew! A few years in there gives you a f**ked up neck. As for love years.... Christ you don't want to know" 'Love years' were the years counted since someone unknowingly found their soulmate and their souls touched to create something but no one knew what.

"A female genie?" She nodded

"J.C at your service master" She looked away and drifted downward "What's your wish?" Drifting forward she met his eyes "Something to do with a crush isn't it?"

"I wish I knew my soulmate"

"More specific, come on read the rules" Jay sighed

"Who they are, if I have one" J.C softened

"You do" Her eyes and neck snapped backward painfully as the cuffs tightened and the wish ran through her veins, her breathing unhealthily fast until she keeled forward when the image of his soulmate appeared. Jay kneeled down to support her while looking at it.

"Carlos...?" J.C looked up and giggled like a kid

"Handsome isn't he? Good hair choice" Jay rolled his eyes. J.C's hair was albino white fading into black and dip dyed red with gold streaks.

"Carlos... he can't be. We're friends. Besides the dude likes Jane" J.C sighed

"D'you wish to see him right now? you could ask" Jay checked her over

"I wish it won't do whatever the hell that was as well" She smiled and hugged him, mask slipping when his shoulder got wet.

"Thank you!" They faded into Carlos' side of their room as Jay saw him asleep. J.C whispered

"Watch his soul in his dream" Jay breathed when Carlos' soul formed a lamp with red mist rising from it. "That convince you?" The red mist separated into Jay's form and the form of an infant walking to him. J.C smiled "Your future kid. Only soulmates can dream that." She forced a laugh "Can't free them though" Jay was still staring at the dream infant's hair, albino white fading to black, deep brown eyes matching his.

"Wait what?"

"Every future child is a prisoner of ancestral ornaments until their birth" Jay looked back at her

"I wish you were free" Jaelyn Carla vanished into the dream. She smiled from it even as Carlos woke.

"Hey dad"
