"Baby?" S**t! "Did you forget something? I'm fine I don't want you skiving class to mother me! Psychology's important to you" Get out get out get out get out! "Baby? Are you trying to prank me?" Laptop. Priceless. Art above the sofa. Money shower. Deal with him now. "Who's there?" He's walking out now. Wait for it. "Sebby if that's really you I'm gonna-" His face hit the floor before he finished. Now take it all.

"Diongo! I bought a new toy for Latte!" Seb paused when the door didn't need the key. Dialling on his phone he heard Dion's ring in the hall near the bedroom. Hanging up he walked closer to the sound. Dion's hand curved around the corner so he dropped down. "Diongo, come on Dion wake up for me" He was stretched along the floor outside the bedroom with his phone spilling out of one pocket. Seb checked his pulse "Diongo please!" Rolling him over he held back the reaction when Dion's head lolled into a red stain on the floor. He shook him frantically "Diongo!" He almost cried when he heard him groan, probably breaking something when he hugged him. "You scared the hell out of me!"

"My head! Baby what happened, I don't..." He lifted his arm and tried not to yell. Carved into his skin in graphic tears of red were the words HEATHEN F*G. Seb supported him to the sofa and cleared it of the litter left behind by the break in, lying down on top of his boyfriend and breathing while calling the police. There were bruises scattered over the hidden and showing skin on Dion's body, each one bringing back a memory of the cause.

"It's incredible he didn't-"

"His boyfriend is right there!" Yet once he'd heard that Seb held him tighter, crying on his shoulder at night when he saw him limp in his dreams. Unmoving with no pulse to reassure him or stop the saltwater leaking from his eyes.

"Seb!" Whichever of them woke up it ended the same; massaging each other's shoulders and leaning on each other's sides. Reminding themselves it had been real... but so was this.
