Underrated Love

Charmed part 1 - Merthur

Headache. That was the first thing to hit him as he woke. That along with the damp feeling on the back of his head. His hand came away wet but not red when he felt it.

"Well that's slightly reassuring" He felt around and pulled back quickly when his hand went  through the ground. Leaning closer he could see a faint light, flashing on and off like a search signal or spot light. Crawling towards it he pushed at the ground and tumbled through. "Ow! Gwen? Gwen!" Looking around he saw it wasn't her. "I thought you were someone I knew..." Where the hell was he? Merlin got up and dusted himself off. Massive buildings littered the landscape but no castles. He took one step and yelled.

"Arty stop him, Arty we need to stop!" Arthur came off of the phone to scold him and stared. A medieval clothed man was standing in the middle of the road and yelled when he saw the car.

"We have to help!" Mordred got out with Arthur following him frantically

"Mordred get back here!" He grabbed him when he reached the middle of the road "Don't you ever..." He trailed off at the man now that he could see his eyes.  "What're you doing trying to get yourself killed?"

"I'm trying to find out where I am" Well that wasn't the answer he expected. Arthur extended his hand to lead him back to the taxi.

"Arthur"

"Merlin" Merlin? Arthur smirked slightly but nodded and took him home.

"Who can I call?" He almost rolled his eyes in annoyance when Merlin played dumb.

"Who'd hear you from here?" He still didn't know where he was.

"The sorcerer's taken care of Gaius" Morgana watched his eyes widen when he looked at the well.

"Where did you send him?" Her answer sent chills down his spine

"To where there are no happily ever afters...."

Arthur looked at Merlin lying on his sofa with azure eyes hidden behind delicate lids. There was something strange about him. Apart from his name. Arthur shrugged and went to bed. He was just odd. Or new to the city. Probably both.
