room 410 (horror)

12 3 0

the occupant of room four-one-oh, won't you please let me in?
i've been begging for the past few hours and my patience is running thin.

i promise that i bring my flag which bears white truce.
but i will surely be greatly upset if you refuse.

my only wish is simply to see your handsome face one last time.
sadly it will be just before i mutter the last rhyme.

oh godspeed, a shadow under the door is what i see!
don't back away now, i simply want to see you clearly!

what's that, a murmur, calling someone on the phone?
that's truly too bad, since you and i are alone!

oops! was that a door i just knocked down with a wham?
jeepers! is that an axe jutting from the wall with a slam?

baby, sweet thing, i can't bear to stay strangers.
i want to be with you, even when i put you in danger.

at long last, i see you face to face!
what a delicious reward after you led me through the chase!

for months on end, i've watch you here.
i'm finally close but all you feel is fear.

round the bed, scream as loud as you want.
time is slipping, now that we've begun the haunt.

your weary sigh hears one final cry echo off the walls.
and i delight in the silence sounding down the halls.

i come up close and grasp you tight.
the silver metal glinting in the evening light.

a slice, a slash, so quick it came.
and there's nothing but my devotion to blame.

for i could not have you, despite my many tries.
so i guess it's only fair that one of us dies.

(and it's not me!)
