The sound of our mouths popping away from one another's ricocheted throughout the entire room. I watched through hooded eyes as Elizabeth scrambled off of me.
She stood a foot away from the bed, her scowl unmistakable. The vampiress raised a violent forearm up to wipe at the red lipstick I had left on her plump lips.
I huffed and lifted the upper half of my body off the bed, using my elbows for leverage. "Was that too much for you, mistress?" I purred, flashing a lazy smile.
I'm sure I looked a complete mess. Swollen lips, a dishevelled braid and smudged makeup to match.
But Elizabeth's eyes flashed and she grunted lowly to herself, her head shaking; almost chastising herself for allowing a moment of vulnerability, a moment of just being...human.
"You'll come with me, pet." She said, instead, ignoring my immature jab.
I hummed sexily and fully sat up, my legs spreading slightly, the gown that I was wearing barely covering up my upper thighs. "Well, how do you expect us to do that when you're so far away, Beth?"
The raven-haired monster bristled and her jaw quivered from how tight she'd clenched her teeth, her hands balled into fists at her sides. "I won't ask again, pet."
Rolling my eyes, I stretched out my tense muscles and then pushed toward the edge of the Queen-sized bed, my feet dangling off of the mattress. "Whatever. You're going to need to help me walk my way wherever we're going." I lifted off the bed and hobbled on my good foot, my hand latching onto Elizabeth's pale forearm for leverage.
"That isn't an issue." She used her free arm to securely wrap around my waist, her hold loose, yet secure and possessive. "As long as you behave, all is well."
I swallowed back the scoff wanting to escape my throat and instead hobbled my way out of the bedroom where I'd spent the past two days and allowed the undead woman to lead me.
Our walk down the long corridor was a quiet one, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence which I found unusual for someone who I hated passionately with both my heart and soul.
I would sneak occasional glances at the vampire who patiently walked at my own pace. I studied her defined jaw line and the hardness of her icy blue eyes.
                              She was a beautiful woman.
If she wasn't a monster, perhaps, in another life, I would jump at the chance to be with her. Physically and emotionally.
But, alas, we are not in another life. I was stuck in this reality where this monster thinks she owns me and I have to follow along with every order she gives me if I plan to save the human race.
It's not long before we're in front of a mahogany-coloured door with gargoyles and vines etched into the wood. She pushed the door open and almost immediately dropped her arm from around my waist when she sees that someone's already in the room.
I latched onto the nearest wall and glared at the vampiress angrily. "Give me a bit of a warning next time, asshole."
Elizabeth only raised her hand in response, clearly indicating that she wanted me to remain quiet. "Dion." She says, addressing the man in the room.
I flicked my gaze around the office and settled my gaze on an old man who had picked up a book from a broken bookshelf and flicked through the pages with a bored expression on his face.
"She has a bit of a mouth on her, this one." Dion chuckled and then slammed the book closed, dropping it with the rest of the mess on the ground.
"You tend to do that when dead people are holding you against your own will." I sniped in reply, folding my arms over my chest.

The Vampire's Pet (GxG)
VampireI don't really remember how long I've been locked up in this godforsaken place. It seems like it's been forever. The only thing that I seem to remember is being tossed into a rusted cell and my ankle being chained up.
