Did you know that you have never seen your own face? when you look in the mirror you do not see your faces, but an image of it. We have already learned that no one has seen God.
In the Bible we read about a man by the name of Isaiah. Isaiah saw God "sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up.." Angels around the throne covered their faces and cried, "Holy,Holy,Holy, is the Lord." When Isaiah saw God's holiness, he could only cry out that he was a sinner and not fit to stand before God.
God is holy. This means He has no sin. But we have all sinned. We cannot live with God because of our sin. When Jesus died on the cross, He took our sin so we may be forgiven.
