Chapter 4 (Adam’s P.O.V)
It was a Monday morning and I was sitting at the rocks where I usually sat every morning before I headed over to dad’s shack. I was looking up at the sky, studying it change its color as the sun was rising. I heard footsteps but decided to ignore it. After a while I turned to my right I noticed a girl with a black hoodie staring back at me. I don’t know why but before I could think straight, I realized I was marching over to her direction feeling seriously pissed off. “What are you doing here? How the heck did you find me here? Look before you act as though this entire thing was a coincidence and all that bullshit; just let me lay it all down nice and clear for you. Just like I’ve told all the other girls, I’m not interested in any of you dumb girls and I’m not gay either. So spread the news to the rest alright?!” I barked at her. I noticed the look on her face had slowly turned from shock to anger as I was yelling at her. Before she could say anything I turned on my heels and started walking away. I didn’t get very far though because she had run up in front of me and blocked my path. “Hold up! You don’t get to talk to me like that and just walk away. Who do you think you are huh? Hold that thought, I could care less who you are but for your information, no I did not find you here on purpose. I’m here because this is where I always run. Oh and I don’t know who the rest of these girls are and I don’t give a rats ass about them either but don’t you dare call me dumb or compare me to them because they must be some kind of dumb to like an asshole like you.” She was clearly pissed out of her mind as she yelled back at me. I was so stunned at what she had said that I didn’t even have time to reply her because she plugged in her headphones and started running. I just stood there for a minute trying to figure out what had just happened. Never before has a girl talk to him the way she just had. Usually girls would be begging him to take them out on dates no matter how much of an asshole he was to them. He was startled by his phone ringing. It was a text his dad asking him to hurry up and get his ass to over to the shack to welcome the new part timer. He slipped his phone back into his pocket and started running towards Rick’s Water Sport Shack.
