Chapter 7 (Emma’s P.O.V)

Ugh! I can’t believe that jerk is Rick’s son. What’s worse is that Cat was going on and on about a guy who is a complete ass. I can’t understand why girl would be crazy for a jerk like him. While I was mentally biting that jerk’s head off, Logan came up behind me and scared the crap out of me. “You look like you’re ready to punch Adam in the face.” Logan chuckled from behind me. “Geez! You scared the crap outta me! Oh but trust me I will if I ever get the chance.” I muttered under my breath. Logan just laughed and led me out back again. I followed him unwillingly knowing that jerk face was gonna be there. We went right back to work when we got outside. I did everything Logan asked me to making sure to steer clear of Adam. He however couldn’t take a hint and kept trying to start a conversation with me.

By the time my lunch break came around I was pretty tired after avoiding that jerk face a.k.a Adam all day. I dragged myself inside to the nearest table and tried to get some shut eye. “Hey you! Wiped out huh?” Sara one of the twins said while grabbing the seat in front of me. “Do you mind if I sit with you?” she asked. “Yeah sure.” I murmured as I leaned back into my seat. “Wow you really look tired? Did Logan really work you that hard?” She asked with amused smile on the face. I laughed and said, “Nah Logan’s been really nice. It’s just that I’ve been avoiding a certain someone who can’t seem to take a hint.” She laughed and was just about to say something when someone from behind me spoke up. “Ooh sounds like someone’s already got herself a fling.” He chuckled as he pulled up a chair next to me and draped his hand around my shoulder. I turned around and found Peter giving me a friendly smile. “Hah! More like a jerk face I’d like to punch.” I muttered loudly. “I like you more and more Em.” Sara smile at me. “Me too! You’re a feisty one.” Peter said as he stole some fries from Sara. We sat and chatted till lunch was over. The twins even invited me to go to a beach bonfire tonight. I tried my best to decline their invitation but they practically forced me to go. So I have no way of backing out now. Looks like this is gonna be a blast. Not.
