The familiar whistling of the wind woke me up, i sat on my window sill staring up at the thousands stars scattering the sky, they all had their own place in the universe. Althoughthe earth compared to the rest of the universe is quite miniscule, it felt as if everyone knew their place on this planet except me. I am unsure of who i am and my identity. You may be thinking this girl gets too deep into things like its not that deep. to which i answer with let others handle their emotions the way they want to we are humans and we are all different so if i need more time and thinking with my emotions leave me be.
You see this is what puzzles me about this society. We judge others with things that dont affect us, if a person is happy or will be happy with their judgment leave them be; however to an extent. When we judge others its usually in a negative manner but i beleive we should support each other and help each other grow inside of tearing each other down like and axe does to a tree. I drifted away form my daydream and realised it was time to get ready for the day.
As soon as i reached the gates i smiled a the same security gaurd protecting the entrance. Without anay hesistation i walked straught into the common room where i st down with my group of friends. "So we have started with the enquiry message boxes, now all we have to do is set up the location services and tidy up the hyperlinks for each page, because of the crash that happened 2 weeks ago."
"Hmm this is why i told you guys we have to have a backup file of the code so we wont have to restart a weeks worth of code!" I laughed ta my friends who gleefully bickered about the previous events.
"I bet you 5 quid they will get together by the end of the month!" i turned towards my friend Jay and grinned i shook his hands and laughed.
"I bet they will get together by next week," I said nudging towards the pair who were finally laughing and shamelessly flirting.
"They are so adorable i swear i will be the best man at their wedding."
"Nah i bet Dan will beat you to it, since its Daves brother," laughing at Jays disgusted look i gave my friend a wave and headed of towards the library.
Theres a corner of the library with a single chair hidden behind numerous stands of books. I always indulge myself with the countless pages of the novels. It was a second home. I breathed a breath of content as i smiled down at the pages that made me imagination run wild. The adrenaline i got from reading fueled me for the day and i couldnt start the day without. It was like a ritual that my friend picked upon and even mocked me for, but i ignore them because it made me happy and what more would you want from a book.
I love the contents of a book and how you know they once used to be trees that once stood tall and out into the open, it gives me a sense of freedom. The book in my hand went on an adventure just to tell my stories of adventures, romance and action. Quite exciting if i do say myself.
"How were the books Valerie?" I smiled at the kind librarian; a bookworms best friend.
"They were amazing i went to the maldives and conquered a kingdom for the good of the country. And last night i whisked away on a train where i was transported to a land where magic was the norm and it was magical!" I said siling and handing my two newly chosen books in the librarians hands.
"Sounds amazing do tell me how these books are i have yet to read them."
"Of course ill be back tomorrow bye," stuffing the two books in my rucksac i rushed towards my first lesson; maths.
"Ok class so the college has chosen 5 students to stay at Oxbridge for 2 weeks," my eyes lit up and i could feel the butterflies in my stomach; my dream university! "Now it was a hard decision; however the maths and english department has made our decision and i can say one of the pupils selected is in the room, the results will be posted on the main notice board tomorrow morning."
I could feel the butterflies rapidly growing, tring my best to digest them i bounced my leg eager for the next day when i can find out if i can go on the residential.
I slept that night on 2 hours of sleep as i couldnt get my body to cooperate due to the excitemnet pulsating thorughout.
