Was it all just a dream?
I needed to figure it out. I didn't just wanna be like "uh hey Jaiden this is kinda awkward but did I kiss you earlier."
Here's what I really did...
I went across the hall to the bathroom, splashed slightly-warmer-than-ice-cold-water on my face, and wiped it off with a washcloth.
I picked up my phone of my table and checked to see if she text me at all.
Still hadn't text me.
.........
WES!! I TOLD WES!!
"Wes!!!!" I yelled.
"In here"
"Did I tell you that I kissed Jaiden earlier? I don't know of it was a dream or not!"
"Haha okay, well you told me you did earlier when you got in the car soo yeah hope that helped.."
"Yes! thanks!"
I said giving him a hug, being casual.
Then I exited the room. I know you're thinking I was gonna start dancing all over the house, singing, blushing, doing air guitar, being weird, being a girl. Sorry, but I'm a guy!, and that only happens in movies. I did lip sync with my beats in while I did chores though afterwards. without music, I don't know what I'd do.
The next day:
She finally text me,
J: "Hey;)"
K: "Hey c:"
J: "Whatsup Keats?"
K: "Nothing much, you?"
J: "nothing, everything is super boring:("
K: "yeah same, wanna hang later at the skate park or something?"
J: "Yeah sounds perfect, what time?"
K: "Half and hour ok?"
J: "Yeah, see ya soon"
Wait until I show her my handstand on a skateboard trick! she hasn't seen that one yet. I smirked to myself.
I ran my fingers through my curls, in front of the mirror. I took a deep breath and said to myself
I keaton. have a girlfriend. The girl I wanted. It's Jaiden. it's always been Jaiden. I got what I wanted for once in a long time. Damn this day is awesome. ok Keats play it cool!
I smiled at myself. I put on some of my "old-spice-'figi'" deodorant so I smelt good. I threw on an 'element' shirt.
I left a note on the kitchen counter for mom.
Hey I'm going to the skatepark with Jaiden. I have my phone on. i'll be back in like 2 1/2 hours. Thanks

I got to the skate park. A few of my friends were there. Lots of older kids.
She wasn't there yet. that's ok, I got time to practice.
I skated along the smooth wood, I only fell like twice only because I was trying new stuff, I did a flip and some other stuff. Jaiden's usually late anyways so I didn't expect anything else from her, plus she lived farther.
Just then I saw her sitting on the edge of the half pipe clapping for me. I blushed and went to sit beside her. A few guys gave me dirty looks but, they're all just jealous of my skills and my girlfriend.
I sat down, my hand on top of hers.
"Hey" I said still breathing heavy from my last move.
"Heya" she said flashing a smile. "that was awesome!"
"You haven't seen nothin yet!" I said jokingly cocky. She raised an eyebrow at me.
I grabbed my board, I skated across, I flipped up onto my hands, and slid back the other way, doing a handstand, I got back on my feet, looped around and stopped.
I hopped back next to her.
"Wow Keats, you're getting good!"
"Thanks babe" I said back.
Shit! was it too soon? awkward.. hey at least I didn't say 'I love you'!!!
I looked at her just to make sure she was ok. She actually looked really happy. She looked up at me. And this time she kissed me.
Jaiden, being the awesome badass that she was, grabbed my board and did a few cool tricks.
"Wow I didn't even know you could skate!!"
I was shocked.
"There's probably a lot you don't know about me." She grinned.
Uh oh what does that mean?
