Gripping my arm tightly, Jahseh pulled me back a few steps. I look below the cliff to see it wasn't that steep but steep enough for me to hurt myself and fall in that small greenish/brown lake below us, which could be crawling with God knows what. I shake my head at the thought of all the disease ridden fish and litter in the lake as it seems nobody's been around to clean it up or the forest behind it. I scanned left and right of the lake and saw behind us but garbage .
"Let's go before we get caught. I know I short cut." I grabbed his hand as he lead us through these trees that looked really old ... and scary . As if someone or something deliberately carved these faces into them.

They were scaring me no doubt but I didn't want Jahseh to think I'm some pussy . So I sucked it up and quickly turned my head which I wish I shouldn't have . I saw a black figure , watching us, moving as we moved . My heart hitched up in my throat while I gripped his hand tighter .
"Hey .." I whisper. He turned around at me with a confused look. " why are you whispering?" I shush him immediately as tears begin to spill out my eyes.
"Do you see him too? Please tell me you do." I beg . "The figure watching us from across the forest, right there" I say .

He turns his head to where the figure is and looks back at me. "There's nobody or nothing there. It's just your mind fuckin with you. I promise when you're with me, nothing can harm you." He says smiling .
