—Sabrina's POV—

"Sabrina get up there are people here looking to adopt someone today." I hear my little sister Courtney say. She wasn't really my sister but she was the closest thing to having an actual sister.

Anyways I should probably introduce myself. My name is Sabrina Sanchez and as you can tell I live in a foster home. I've lived in multiple foster homes since I was about 7 and I am now 15. The reason I got into foster care is not a story I would like to get into. Some of my hobbies include, dancing, singing, and playing any instrument I can get my hands on. And blasting music when everyone is gone from the house

About a year ago I had started learning about this boy band called Why Don't We. I'm not normally into the boy bands but I do have to admit they were pretty good. I have seen some of their videos but I'm not entirely obsessed with them, but if I had to pick a favorite it would definitely have to be the one with the curly hair.

I know you may think that since I'm an orphan that I'm not a very social butterfly but that's not the case. As a matter of fact I have a lot of friends and while I never let them hang out at my house I'm always at theirs. I did have the occasional bully though but they never actually bothered me, mainly cause my friends were always there for me. Anyways back to the story.

"Someone woke up very excited today." I say picking up Courtney.

"I can't help it I really wanted to get adopted soon." She says and jumps off of me and runs to her room to get ready.

I smile because she was so cute and so pure. Courtney was 8 and she was put into foster care because her parents had been in a car crash and her grandparents did not want to take care of her for some unknown reason. Every time I look at Courtney I'm reminded of myself even though me and her look absolutely nothing alike.

I get dressed into some ripped jeans and an oversized slip on hoodie since many of the people that look to adopt go for the younger kids. I did have some hope to be in an actual family but over the years it just came natural for me to not get worked up when a family came here. I walked down the stairs after I got finished getting ready and I was just about to walk out the house when someone had called me over.

"Sabrina where do you think your going?" Stephanie our foster mom had asked.

"To hang out with my friends." I said frustrated because I just wanted to leave instead of being here when someone else got picked. Don't get me wrong Stephanie was an amazing person but she was sometimes always a little to preppy for me.

"Think again Sabrina, you know that a family is coming to look for someone to adopt which means everyone has to stay here." She said sitting me down on the couch with all the other kids. There was only 5 of us in total and the were all way younger than me but that meant that they shared a room together and I got my own.

"Come on Stephanie, you and I both know that I'm not getting adopted can I just please leave and go hang out with my friends." I said to her

"No Sabrina you are a part of this foster house which means you must listen to me and I said that you must stay here until the family leaves." She said in a stern voice. She didn't normally frighten me but when Stephanie used her stern voice I knew there was no getting out of anything.

"Fine I'll stay but only cause I want to not because I have to." I mumble and pulled out my phone that Stephanie had gotten me for my 13th birthday since she didn't want me walking around without a way to call her or Jacob.

"That's the spirit Sabrina." She said in her normal preppy voice. I started playing some games on my phone until about 3 minutes later the doorbell had rung and since Sabrina and her husband Jacob were in the kitchen I decided to open the door while still looking at my phone.

"Hello welcome to casa Johnson, where the people aren't as good as the food." I said stepping back from the door a bit so they could walk in. I heard someone whisper "She's really funny." I look up to see who said that and they had looked familiar but before I could ask who they were, Stephanie had walked in and rushed them inside.

"Sabrina can you close the door and sit down with the other kids so that they can get to know all of you better." Stephanie said and I listened to what she said.

"So everyone go around the room and introduce yourselves to one another while I go get some snacks." Stephanie said in her usual preppy voice while I sat down picking up Courtney and putting her on my lap.

I decide to speak for all the little kids since the a little shy. "So this cutie on my lap is Courtney. Then we have Charlie, Rebecca, Edwin, Robert, and I'm Sabrina." They introduced themselves going from left to right. "I'm Corbyn." The one with the dyed blonde hair said. "I'm Daniel." The one with bright blue eyes said. "I'm Jonah." The tall one said. "I'm Zach. Said the one with the baby face. "And last but not least I am Jack, but you can call me noodle head." That's when it hit me I looked and the mop of curls on his head.

"Oh my gosh, I know who you guys are." I said putting Courtney on the lap and standing up getting closer to them since they had been standing the entire time. "You guys are Why Don't We."

"How do you know who we are?" Jack had asked

"I've listened to some of your music." I said to them somewhat blushing towards the end of what I had told them.

"Aww, are you a fan?" Corbyn asked

"Not really, but your music is somewhat okay." I said shrugging my shoulders

I look to see they were about to ask but before they could Stephanie walked in letting the conversation die and this is one of the few times that I was grateful she walked in during a conversation.

"How's everything going you guys?" She asked putting the tray of snacks on the coffee table.

"Everything is great I think the boys and I know who we are gonna adopt." Jonah said

"We'd like to adopt Courtney."  Jonah said picking up Courtney from the couch. Courtney tries to push off of Jonah so I take her and ask "What's wrong Courtney? I thought you said you wanted to get adopted." She looks at me like she's ready to burst into tears.

"I do but I don't to leave you Sabrina, your like my big sissy." She says

"Aww Courtney your like my little sister too, but these guys are gonna take great care of you." I tell her trying to give her back to Jonah, but her arms wrap around my neck and for a little girl she was strong.

Courtney yells "NO I"M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT SABRINA!!" Jonah took her and I managed to get her calm enough and she eventually fell asleep in his arms.

"That sucks cause I was hoping she'd be awake for this next part that I'm about to say." Jonah said

"What are you talking about Jonah." I asked him

"I'm talking about adopting Courtney and adopting you hoping you say yes." He said

"Of course you can adopt me." I screamed while hugging them. "But just so were clear I'm only doing it for Courtney."I said to them.

"Fair enough." Jack said after I pulled away from the hug.

"Alright we can go as soon as I go pack mine and Courtney's stuff." I said before running upstairs into my room and throwing everything into a garbage bag since I didn't own a suitcase. After get everything into a bag I run into Courtney's room and put her stuff into a bag and then rush downstairs.

I hear Stephanie asking Jonah to sign the last bit of adoption papers. I get to the last step and Corbyn, Jack, Zach and Daniel are all waiting by the door so they could help me take the bags to the car. Before leaving I give Stephanie and Jacob a hug and tell them goodbye.

The minute I sat down in the car with Courtney next to me still sleeping was when I realized that this was actually happening. A boy band just adopted me and not just any boy band but the one and only Why Don't We.
