You walked in school hand in hand with your cousin, Baekhyun, talking and laughing together when you felt a sharp pain at your other wrist.
You looked up to meet with the hurt eyes of your boyfriend, Suho.
"L-let g-go. Y-you're hurting me... " tears rolled down your face.
He scoffed before pulling you to a silent corner of the school after you signalled to your worried cousin that you would be fine.
"Who is he. And why have you been ignoring me for a week. Tell me! " Suho's breathing was ragged from the anger and jealousy boiling up inside him.
"Y-y-you don't h-have t-t-to know, " your voice cracked as your words stumbled out of your mouth clumsily.
"I'm your boyfriend here! I ought to know! "
"Not anymore, " you looked into his eyes.
"W-what..? "
"Let's break up. I'm sorry, "
"W-w-what do you mean?? Look, I can change for you! Just... Don't break up with me. I can't live without y-you... " he broke down in front of you, engulfing you into a hug, "i-is it because of that guy..? "
You struggled and successfully broke out from his embrace, tears running down your face continuously.
"Cheaters never change. So don't expect me to change my mind, " you looked down onto the floor, avoiding eye contact.
His eyes widened at your reply and it felt like as if something had hit him in the heart.
‹ flashback
You were walking home alone after dropping by Suho's place to cuddle.
According to him, he had to finish up his school project, so he couldn't fetch you home.
You understood that he prioritised his studies, so you decided to return home by yourself. It wasn't that far, anyway.
You were about to fish out your phone to text your friend when you felt that your pocket was empty.
"Oh shit. I think I left it at Suho's house, " your muttered, turning in the opposite direction, to your boyfriend's house again.
After a while, you reached his front doorstep and was about to press the doorbell when you saw that the door was ajar.
"I remember I closed it properly when I left though... " you thought aloud to yourself.
You opened the door slowly and quietly for you wanted to surprise Suho.
But your plans were almost ruined when you tripped over a pair of bright neon pink high heels laying messily by the house mat.
You sighed in relief when you didn't make any noise.
But you were curious as to why they were there though. But you shook off the thought, believing that those were just his mother's.
You crept to his bedroom, about to call his name when,
You saw something you shouldn't have seen.
Suho and the girl you hated the most, (y/e/n), were sprawled out on his bed, having a cuddle session while occasionally kissing each other on the lips like as if that was the most natural thing to do.
'That was what we were doing earlier... ' your heart tightened.
You tried your best to hold in your tears, but unluckily, a small squeak left your trembling lips.
"What was that, Oppa? " (y/e/n) pulled away from the heated kiss.
"Just ignore it, it's probably nothing important, " Suho pulled her closer, mumbling into the kiss.
'I'm nothing important huh... ' you walked distressfully out of the house after taking your phone from the couch in the living room.
‹ flashback end
You smiled bitterly at Suho.
"That guy you saw just now was my cousin. I'm not a cheater or a jerk like you, "
"I-I'm sorry! (y/n)... Forgive m-me... I love you so much! So much more than (y/e/n)! " Suho pleaded. He was already going to be on his knees.
You shuddered at your enemy's name.
"You knew that she bullied me and that I hated her to the core. Like, if you wanted to break my heart, go cheat on me with a nicer girl, please. And if you love me more than you love her, you still love her anyway. I'm not sharing you with another girl, no thank you. I hope you'll be happy with her, " you shook your head in disbelief before walking away with tears in your eyes.
You had a 2 year long relationship with Suho already and you had of course grown attached to him during that period of time..
You knew that it would be hard for you to move on from him, but you didn't just want to, you had to.
And that was what you were going to do.
