You stepped into your classroom, on time for class.
As usual, you were about to go over to your best friend's desk when you realised that it was empty.
School is starting in 2 minutes, where is he?
He used to be earlier than you every time, but you shook off the thought. He probably forgot his textbook again.

Recess. Lay still wasn't in school.
You fished out your phone, tapping on his contact.

Your eyebrow flew up at the sight.
How dare he blue tick you?
You decided to go over to his house after school to find him. You couldn't just let this slide, he didn't even give you an explanation!

"Wait, why are you here? My best friend Lay stays here, why are you both going inside his house? " your eyes showed confusion and shock as you repeatedly questioned the newlywed couple that were moving boxes of items inside Lay's house from a truck.
"Lay? Wasn't he the boy who used to stay here? " the woman looked at her husband before turning back to face you, "The Zhang family had just moved away this morning. They were carrying big bags of luggage, I think they're moving overseas. Back to their hometown I think? "
You choked on your tears as you managed to cough up a laugh, shaking your head.
"Stop joking, be serious! Hahaha, you almost got me. " you didn't want yourself to believe that this was happening.
How could your best friend just leave you hanging like that? He should've at least told you! Did he not think of you as someone important after all?
I haven't gotten a chance to tell you how much I like you.
"Babe, look what I found! " the male emerged from inside the house, showing the woman an envelope.
To: (y/n) ♡
"Sweetheart, does your name happen to be (y/n)? " the wife handed you the envelope.
Your lips parted as you carefully took it, taking your leave soon after thanking the couple.
The envelope contained a letter as you held it to your chest, a tear drop falling down your cheek.

By the time you read this, I would probably be on the plane right now. I'm moving back to China with my family.
I admit, I miss China and my grandparents there, but do remember that I will always miss you the most.

If I'm going to be very honest, I don't want to be your best friend anymore. I want you to be my girlfriend.
