Well, this should be an interesting chapter... oh, and this is dedicated to rockprincecss, for yelling at me to post this. I wouldn't have posted today if it wasn't for you. Your impatience paid off xP TO THE STORY! Oh, and P.S. I love the song, will any of you please tell me if you don't cry? I'm the only person I know that hasn't cried during it...

***UPDATE: I'm sorry, I was going to post this yesterday, but I had to edit it, and I'm glad I did too. Sorry about the wait!

[4] What ARE You Talking About?

As soon as I walked into my next class I wasn't exactly expecting to hear what I did.

"She's not her anymore..."

"Yeh, that makes her mine..."

"No, she's mine..."

I realized it was Brice talking to one of his friends. He looked at me, walked over, and put his arm around me.

"Your mine, isn't that right Elina?"

"Um excuse me, who are you, and why do you have your arm around me?" I said, brushing his arm from my shoulder. His friend bursts out laughing and gave me a high five, while Brice was just gaping like a fish.

"You know, you really are going to catch flies if you keep your mouth open like that..." I said. I really didn't care how I talked now, I had a new look, so why not a new attitude? Plus it was really fun to embarrass Brice.

Soon class started, and Mason came walking in with Candy attached to his arm... Huh, I wondered why it was so quiet earlier. Brice looked like he was about to explode, while Candy glared at me. I have no idea why, but she seemed to think she was rubbing something in my face. Oh well, I don't care if she's banging the new guy, its not like I have a claim over him...

About 10 minutes later, after Mason made up the excuse that Candy was "showing him around" (which the teacher actually believed), and they sat down, I felt a note on the back of my head again. I turned around and silently prayed that it wasn't who I thought it was that threw the note. Apparently prayers don't help me much.

I rolled my eyes and opened the note.

"Hey Lina, jealous? -m"

I looked at him and laughed, but not so the teacher could notice. Me, jealous... of Candy? That has to be the funniest thing I've ever heard! I quickly wrote him back.

"Hey Mase, what's up with the Lina? My name is Elina. And I'm sorry, but did you really just ask me if I was jealous of CANDY?! Hahaha, that's gotta be the funniest thing I've ever been accused of. Your funny, too bad you're a jerk, or I might actually like you.-e"

He read it then smirked and wrote something.

"Hey LINA, you won't be able to resist my charms for long, so I wouldn't be laughing-m"

At this I burst out into a fit of giggles, getting a mad look from the teacher.

"Hey MASE, don't be so cocky, then maybe I might believe you in some way. Oh wait, I'm sorry, I can't... -e"

Just as he read it, the bell rang. I now love the term "saved by the bell".

The next classes went by slowly, and neither Holly nor Mason was in any of them. Of course when it was time for lunch I just had to forget something in my locker. As soon as I got there, I saw the man of my nightmares waiting for me.
