BELLAMYS POV

We are mid season 2 when Clarke falls asleep in my arms. There is something so satisfying of having her here with me, as if having her in my grasp ensures her safety.

Of course Echo isn't my girlfriend. And of course Echo had to go on and manipulate Clarke into thinking we were dating. I didn't want her to worry, but at the same time there was this warmth in my chest when Clarke's jealousy unleashed and she addressed the issue.

Weird, I know.

"Hmmm," Clarke stirs next to me in her deep slumber, her eyebrows furrowed. I tighten my arms around her waist protectively.

I remember that she had a bruise on her hip. Why wouldn't she want to tell me that? The doctor said that most of her bruises should have gone away by now. I lift up her shirt a couple inches off the waist and view the purple mark on her bare skin.

I smoothly slide my calloused fingers against the spot while looking up at her face to see her reaction. Her lips tilt upwards in a smirk while her hips guide themselves onto my fingers, seeking my touch. I blush hard and pull my hand away, lying back down next to her.

This girl will be the death of me.

I used to hate her and now....now?

I notice that her facial expression has retrogressed to a sleepy frown.

We lay for about five more minutes when I get a text from Octavia.

'Can you pick me up from Lincoln's right now? It's getting late and he broke his foot after I pushed him down the stairs.'

'What?! Why would you shove him down the stairs?' I reply, shocked to say the least.

'It was supposed to be an innocent, playful push, but he lost his footing. He's okay tho...'

I chuckle. Oh, Octavia.

I get up slowly so I don't wake Clarke and head towards the front door. Before I leave, a voice stops me.

"Thank you for being here for her," I turn around to see a very awake Ms. Griffin.

"Oh, yeah. I think it's more like she's there for me, you know?"

She chuckles. "She needs you," she sighs.

We just stand there looking at each other for a minute.

"I need her," I add honestly. Ms. Griffin nods and leaves the room leaving me confused.

I turn back around to pick up Octavia when another sleepy voice calls me.

"You left your keys, Bell," Clarke says, rubbing her eyes while holding my car keys above her head.

I raise my eyebrows and laugh while walking over to Clarke and taking them out of her hands.

"Where you going?" She asks interested.

I kneel in front of her and tell her that I'm on my way to Lincoln's house.

"Take me with you," She holds out her arms, telling me to carry her. I pick her up and carry her out to my car, careful so I don't graze her bruise.

Once we get in the car, I tell her how Octavia broke Lincoln's foot and how she should go to the doctor to get her hip checked.

"It's fine," she rolls her eyes, "It's just sensitive, that's all."

"Maybe, but still. We should make sure," I suggest and she huffs.

"Fine, do you want me to go to the doctor that badly?" She asks and I nod. "Take me there after we pick up Octavia. I'm pretty sure my Aunt is on a night shift."

I'm relieved to hear that she's actually going to tell someone about the mark other than me. Honestly, it doesn't look like a serious injury, but it hurts to see Clarke in physical pain.
-
"It was an accident!" Octavia clarifies on our way to the hospital. "Ughh, I already had to go here once today for Lincoln, now twice?!"

Clarke laughs. "I have a bruise and according to Bell I should have it checked," she states.

Octavia's brows furrow. "I thought your bruises were supposed to be gone by now, C."

"Most of them," I explain pulling into the hospitals parking lot.
-
"Aunt Sara! Hey!" Clarke calls.

"Clarke, honey, what brings you here at this ungodly hour of the night?"

"It's only 11:30 PM, auntie," Octavia says. Great, they're like sisters now.

"Whatever," she rolls her eyes. "What's up?"

"I have a bruise," Clarke looks at Sara addressing the fact that it's because of Mr. Collins.

"Still?" Sara raises her eyebrows. We all nod in sync.

Aunt Sara guides us into one of the rooms and takes a look at the black and blue waffle on her stomach.

"Huh."

"What?" I ask worriedly. "Is something wrong? Is she okay?"

"Calm your tits, Blake," Sara rolls her eyes. "It's just a deep one. You were all worrying for nothing."

Clarke pulls down her shirt and smirks at me. "See?" She lifts her right eyebrow.

"At least you're okay..." I say and innocently hug her. We split apart and spot Octavia looking at us. Clarke. Me. Clarke. Me.

"Pffffttt....you guys are so clueless," she laughs and exits the room. We both decide to ignore the comment.

"Just be careful while touching it or anything. It's really sensitive skin and it will heal over a longer duration of time," Sara confirms. I nod, understanding.
-
"I'll just stay over at your house tonight," Clarke offers. "So you don't have to take me home."

"Yes! Sleep over!" Octavia gladly invites.
