"I don't know what to do, Ray" I said, and plopped on my bed "this whole thing is driving me crazy"

"Relax, Ab. I think you should talk things out with your mom"

"And have another long and awkward confrontation with her? No way"

"Well... You could either do that, or let your curiosity eat you up. Its really your choice you know" he smirked and sat at the edge of my bed.

"Arrrrrgh! I hate you... I don't even know how to start a confrontation with mom, and that's not even close to the last thing I ever want to do" I let out a sigh "this is so annoying! I guess I have to learn to put my thoughts into words more often"

"Yep... Sooner or later, you're gonna have to learn to do that... You have to learn to express your feelings. What's the worse that could happen?"

"I don't know"

"Exactly... Nothing will happen if you express your feelings more often... It's not like someone would going to hang you for saying how you feel or something"

"I guess you're right Ray... Wish me luck"

"I know you'd do just fine sugar"

"Thanks. Now I have to prepare my speech and wait till my mom gets home" I chuckled nervously, and Ray laughed louder than I did.

"You don't need to prepare a long speech" he said, laying emphasis on the long "just say whatever comes to your mind. Once you start the conversation, every other thing will fall in place. Trust me"

"I guess so" I sighed "it's easier said than-" a buzzing sound interrupted me. Its Ray's phone.

"It's Sophie"

"Okay" with that, I zoned out and ray answered his call. What could have happened in mom's past that led to mom and dad's divorce? Ugh! I really hate situations like this. Why couldn't dad just tell me himself?

"Hey Ab" Ray snapped me out of my thoughts "I gotta run. See you soon"

"Bye."
