Recap......Micheal gave me my phone and motioned for me to unlock it. I looked at Ray, who signalled for me to unlock it, and collected a baseball bat from Sophie. I collected my phone from Micheal and typed the long password, instead of unlocking it with my fingerprint, just so I could stall. While typing, I made sure I didn't look at Ray, so Micheal wouldn't get suspicious and look back.
Ray struck Micheal on his head with the bat right after I unlocked the phone, and he fell to the floor.
I stepped back and watched in shock, as I tried to wrap my head around what just happened. "Is he dead?" I asked no one in particular, as I felt my heart pound against my ribcage.
"I wish he were" Sophie replied, while rushing to me to give me a tight hug "are you okay?"
"Yeah, I guess" I was still trying to wrap my head around what just happened and what has been happening in my life recently, when I realised how quickly Ray and Sophie got here. "how were you guys able to get here so quickly? Where were you when I called?"
"Luckily, we were just in front of the Johnson's" the Johnson's live just one house away "at first, I was confused and I didn't know what to do, but Sophie suggest we borrowed something to defend ourselves... To defend you too. Hence, the baseball bat"
A grunt came from the floor. Micheal was regaining his consciousness. In a split second, Ray hit him again with the baseball bat, harder than he did the first time, making him unconscious again.
"Sophie, call the cops" Ray said, as he tried to drag Micheal to the bathroom.
"Wait, what?! I thought you called the cops on your way here" I asked, not understanding what was happening.
"I had to do something quickly, and calling the cops seemed sort of time consuming" Ray replied, still dragging Micheal to the toilet "do you mind?" He dropped Michael's hands and stopped for a while to catch his breath.
"What exactly are you trying to do?" I asked, looking confused
"I want to lock him up in the bathroom, and then lock the room too"
"Why do you have to do that?"
"We don't want him waking up and attacking us before the cops get here, do we?"
"Ohh"
"Yeah. Put some clothes on, will you?" All this drama made me forget I wasn't even putting on clothes. I wasn't entirely naked, but I wasn't dressed either; I had only my underwear on.
"Whateverrr" I rolled my eyes and walked towards my wardrobe. I've known Ray since preschool, and we've been friends since then. Ray and I have become so close and inseparable, that it doesn't feel weird or uncomfortable to see eachother naked. I picked out a pair of sweatpants and a tank top from my wardrobe and got dressed, after which I went ahead to help Ray.
"Holy crap, what does this guy weigh?" I exclaimed, after a failed attempt to lift Micheal's legs.
"Tell me about it" Ray sighed and stood straight to catch his breath. After a few seconds, Sophie came to give us a hand.
"On three. One, two, three" Ray said. With that, three of us lifted Michael and carried him to the bathtub. We got out of the bathroom, and locked the door.
"Grab everything you need and let's get out. The cops should be here soon. Till then, we should keep this door locked" Ray adviced. It was an advice I chose to take to without thinking twice. I hurriedly picked up my bag pack, opened my wardrobe and shoved a few clothes into it. I packed as many clothes as my bag pack could take, after which I picked up my phone, my speaker, an extra pair of sneakers and a few underwears. I picked up my shoes with the intention of putting them on in the living room, and hurriedly got out of the room. Ray was behind Sophie, who was right behind me. Ray locked the door, and we all went downstairs to the living room, where I put on my shoes and dialed my dad's number.
